This Saturday will be the 156th anniversary of Juneteenth, the day that slaves in Texas were finally informed that they had been set free from chattel slavery, years after the Civil War had ended.
Shortly after they were freed, Black Americans across Texas created Freedom Colonies, where they began to amass great wealth and property. Jim Henderson created one of these Colonies in Freestone County.
Soon after, corrupt government officials and attorneys stole their land and tried to throw them in prison.
My guest tonight is Dr. E Henderson Lawson. She is a direct descendant of Jim Henderson, the author of Colored River, and she's going to talk about her fight for justice and recompensation.

You can't make any kind of complex item without having a good supply chain in place.
Whether we're talking about automobiles, homes, vaccines and medications, clothing, or pretty much anything else, you need to be able to get the raw materials, the tools to make them into your product, and the means to market and distribute them.
Economic nationalists and woke "fairness" advocates clearly don't understand how supply chains work, and we all suffer when their policies are implemented.

No-knock raids are stupid, destructive and unnecessary. They have claimed far too many lives, and scarred many more.
And thankfully, no-knock raids will soon be a thing of the past in Tennessee, whose legislature passed a bill banning them, as well as requiring officers intervene when another officer is using excessive force.
