01:38
america has been tested and we’ve come

there is no peace it comes so far we

07:44
forgetting
07:44
mud water coffee alternative if you were
07:47
thinking to yourself
07:48
gee i’d like to drink something that
07:50
looks like coffee but isn’t
07:51
and has mushrooms in it well we have
07:53
some fantastic news for you friend
07:55
mud water is the most muddied watery
07:58
coffee alternative out there
08:00
uh it’s got masala chai in it it’s got
08:02
cacao not just cocoa cacao
08:04
uh and it’s got uh mushrooms not those
08:07
kinds of mushrooms
08:08
uh good mushrooms well those are good
08:10
mushrooms too but these are the big
08:11
mushrooms that don’t
08:12
get you high um it’s also got turmeric
08:15
and
08:15
sea salt and cinnamon and that’s it
08:19
that’s it guys but if you want to try it
08:21
out even before i’ve tried it
08:23
well matt you tried it what did you
08:24
think of it i did try it um so
08:27
i i’ve i’ve tried it a couple of
08:28
different times in a couple of different
08:30
ways
08:30
and uh it gives you a good like it’s not
08:33
like the coffee energy
08:35
uh but you get uh you do get a lot more
08:38
focus
08:38
and it uh you get a lot more focus and
08:42
you don’t really notice as it wears off
08:45
like you do with coffee or
08:46
other um other substances that might
08:50
give you a crash
08:51
uh you kind of just kind of it just sort
08:53
of dissipates and it’s gone and
08:55
but uh i the the flavor of it is not as
08:58
bad as i was expecting it to be and if
09:00
you add some honey it’s actually pretty
09:02
darn good
09:03
um i recommend it to everybody out there
09:07
we heard it right from the horse’s mouth
09:09
kids go to mud water uh go to
09:11
muddywatersmedia.com
09:12

09:25
mud thank you so much this episode of
09:28
course is brought to you by personal
09:29
injury attorney chris reynolds attorney
09:30
at law
09:31
if you’re in the florida area of florida
09:35
if you’re in any if you’re in florida
09:37
then
09:38
over that area of florida if you’re in
09:41
the florida area of the united states
09:43
you’re in the part of florida
09:45
that is florida yeah if you’re in the
09:46
florida area of the
09:48
of the usa and you find yourself
09:50
personally injured well that is
09:52
i’m so sorry that’s terrible but uh if
09:55
you contact chris reynolds at
09:57
chrisreynoldslaw.com he will get you
10:00
like giant stacks of money
10:04
just big stacks on stacks on stacks boom
10:07
boom boom boom you can make a rap video
10:10
where you’re holding up
10:12
benjamin’s to your head like it’s a
10:14
brick phone
10:17
he’ll be in the form of a check so it
10:19
won’t be as exciting it’ll just be one
10:21
piece of paper
10:23
right but you can cash it out you can
10:25
cash it out yes
10:28
i prefer attorneys that actually hand
10:29
you cash
10:31
giants like a briefcase right those
10:34
completely legitimate
10:37
attorneys who are interested
10:39
unfortunately this is full of cash
10:41
unfortunately because chris reynolds is
10:43
an actual legitimate
10:45
legal attorney he does not give you
10:47
giant briefcases of cash but you can
10:49
take his checks
10:51
and i mean depending on the reward it
10:52
might be it might be
10:54
it might be dollar bills but it’s you
10:56
can he’ll get you enough money to make a
10:58
thing
10:58
to put up against your head
11:00
chrisreynoldslaw.com
11:01
uh so matt we have an incredible episode
11:04
today we actually have two guests
11:05
so we’re gonna see how that works
11:09
we’re excited about that
11:12
yep um we have a
11:16
we have a fantastic first guest um all
11:19
the way from uh
11:20
rochester new york we have
11:24
mr tony vicari tony thanks so much for
11:27
coming on yeah
11:29
where am i there i am there you are can
11:32
you hear us
11:33
thank you can you hear us right now
11:36
yes excellent okay good good
11:40
well good so so tony uh tell us a little
11:43
bit the reason that we’re having you on
11:45
is you had a
11:46
uh quite a terrible situation uh with
11:48
your daughter
11:49
uh samantha or sammy uh can you tell us
11:52
a little bit about that we can kind of
11:53
dive into that
11:55
yeah yeah i’ll give you a a quick
11:59
summary of that my daughter who was 30
12:01
years old was diagnosed with
12:03
breast cancer in october oh god so
12:07
we found that out she had a lumpectomy
12:10
got that out
12:11
they scored that and they said that you
12:13
know she should follow that up with
12:14
radiation and chemo
12:16
she had her first chemo done december
12:19
9th
12:20
which was on a wednesday she had that
12:23
done
12:24
and by thursday and friday she was
12:25
feeling pretty bad and she called the
12:27
doctor and they said man that doesn’t
12:28
sound like
12:29
chemo after effects maybe you should get
12:31
tested for covid
12:33
she got tested that friday saturday
12:36
came back positive by monday she’s in
12:38
the hospital
12:39
with cody feeling really bad hard to
12:41
breathe
12:42
um so she’s in the hospital for about 10
12:45
days
12:46
from the 14th to the 24th we’ve been
12:49
talking to her but you can’t visit right
12:50
because we’re on lockdown
12:52
so you can’t go there can’t see her
12:55
can’t do anything she’s in lockdown
12:56
she’s in icu
12:58
i get a call just about midnight
13:00
christmas eve
13:01
from the hospital saying we’re gonna
13:02
vent your daughter
13:04
that’s how bad she was so they vented
13:06
her and she was vented for 40 days
13:10
so those whole 40 days her and anybody
13:13
that’s in icu and she was pretty
13:15
critical at that time
13:16
couldn’t go visit right you had to
13:18
depend on the staff
13:20
and the staff to a person was awesome i
13:23
call them my icu angels because they’re
13:25
my lifeline
13:26
they’re everybody’s lifeline during that
13:28
time because you can’t
13:30
you can’t go visit you know so they’re
13:32
your eyes and your ears and
13:34
and everything right so they gotta they
13:35
gotta take everybody’s icu stuff
13:37
um i did get a couple of calls during
13:39
that time um that
13:41
they thought possibly my daughter wasn’t
13:42
gonna make it through the night you know
13:44
blood pressure’s dropping and
13:46
and i said well then i’ll be there in
13:47
just a couple minutes and like whoa whoa
13:49
whoa
13:49
you know you can’t you can’t come in and
13:52
i said well
13:53
yes i can and so they were they were
13:55
really gracious
13:57
and uh they did let us in a couple of
13:58
times and the last time that that
14:00
happened
14:01
from that moment on we were able to go
14:04
in there and visit her and touch her and
14:06
hold her
14:07
and you know just and she was on a table
14:10
they had prone to her which means they
14:12
turned her on her chest
14:14
yeah they saved her life they really did
14:16
they did everything they could to save
14:18
her life
14:19
and from the moment that i was able to
14:21
go in there and and
14:22
touch her and hold her and kiss her and
14:23
tell her i love her and yell at her and
14:25
go i know you can hear me
14:27
um she got a little bit better
14:29
consecutively
14:30
so basically the frustrating part of
14:34
that whole thing was
14:35
being that lockdown even when you’re in
14:38
icu
14:39
people are that critical i would have
14:41
signed anything i would have done
14:42
anything to go in once a week once the
14:46
whole time
14:47
because i feel like the power of touch
14:49
and the power of
14:50
um a human connection you know with my
14:53
daughter or anybody so anybody in icu
14:56
not just
14:57
my daughter but you know it was that was
14:59
really rough
15:00
um it was a really hard time i can
15:03
imagine it was
15:05
understandable yeah absolutely and
15:08
if like like you said you you said that
15:10
you would be willing to
15:11
sign something or you know sign a wave
15:13
or whatever you needed to do
15:15
in order to you know be able to go in
15:17
and uh see your daughter
15:18
like i feel as though that should have
15:20
been acceptable for
15:24
every state yeah yeah and that that’s
15:28
that’s the thing if you’ve got somebody
15:30
in icu and
15:31
you know the toll that i think it would
15:33
take that
15:34
it takes on the staff of those people
15:37
that are working in icu
15:39
not only are they dealing with first
15:42
they’re in the front lines of the covid
15:44
but then they’re watching people pass
15:46
away they’re watching people get
15:47
consecutively worse and worse
15:49
and that’s it it’s just them going into
15:51
the room it’s them
15:53
being your eyes and ears and they’re
15:55
taking all that
15:56
onto themselves you know i can imagine
15:59
that
16:00
when you go home and try to de-stress
16:02
that’s got to be a little hard you know
16:05
i’d imagine so so so you were able to
16:07
you were able to get in
16:09
uh and as she said uh uh she did get
16:11
better and i want to talk about that in
16:13
a second but i have a question for you
16:14
on
16:15
the coming in i assume that they had
16:17
some kind of you know like you had to be
16:19
wearing a mask and things like that to
16:21
protect you from the other
16:22
coven patients and things like that
16:23
right yeah
16:25
yeah it wasn’t um that was middle of the
16:28
night call
16:29
so it was just wearing a mask and
16:31
suiting up when i went in there because
16:33
at the time she was still probably
16:35
covered positive maybe it’d been a while
16:38
since you’ve been in there so i think
16:39
she was past being covered positive
16:42
but even when i met i met one time too
16:44
with the doctors about two weeks ahead
16:46
of that
16:47
and you know the staff going in and out
16:49
of the of the icu
16:51
were just messed up they weren’t as
16:52
heavily
16:54
well garbed up as i thought they would
16:56
be but right
16:57
you know they were and and listen i
17:00
understand that you can’t
17:02
have everybody go in but i think there’s
17:04
a small portion of people that need that
17:07
and that it was really frustrating to to
17:09
see all the politics of it
17:12
i would think at the very least those
17:14
who
17:15
are facing you know ventilation or or
17:18
being comatose or a really critical
17:20
situation
17:21
i don’t see a reason why especially with
17:24
proper precautions being taken
17:26
a perfect example they let you in i
17:28
assume that you’ve been able to stay
17:30
safe since then and i mean it’s been
17:31
three months since then
17:33
and there was no outbreak as a result of
17:35
that it seems like
17:36
you know this could very easily if you
17:38
didn’t have government getting in the
17:40
way of of you know allowing hospitals to
17:42
set their own policy
17:43
most hospitals are going to say at least
17:46
in certain situations we’re going to let
17:48
the family come in and and
17:50
see the see their uh their their family
17:52
or loved ones
17:53
if it for no other reason than to say
17:55
goodbye i mean there was a very real
17:56
possibility you were you were saying
17:58
goodbye i mean thank god she’s
17:59
she’s doing better now let’s talk about
18:02
that you’re
18:03
you know how is how is sammy doing now
18:06
she um she got progressively better
18:09
she um came off the vent
18:13
she had a trach in she’s come off the
18:15
track she went to rehab she’s home now
18:17
she’s been home for about a week and a
18:18
half
18:19
two weeks recovering but she really i
18:21
mean it
18:22
the covid it was a perfect storm right
18:24
her immune system was down covered came
18:26
in
18:26
there’s no white blood cells that said
18:28
whoo you know let’s party
18:29
and it just it it crushed her she’s 30
18:32
years old so
18:33
ages definitely was on her side had she
18:35
been
18:36
my age or had she being a 60 or 70 year
18:38
old person
18:39
that’s where the high percentage of
18:41
deaths comes in because you just can’t
18:43
can’t take what she took so she’s doing
18:44
okay she’s got my granddaughter who’s
18:46
four
18:47
she hadn’t seen her for three months
18:50
wow we had to jump through hoops just to
18:52
get her to see her when she was in rehab
18:54
um you know and uh that was another
18:57
thing too that was a little funny
18:58
they were trying to ship her off to pa
19:00
to go to to
19:02
to rehab and we have perfectly good
19:04
facilities here in rochester
19:06
that was that was a little shuffle
19:07
between the hospital and some rehab
19:09
facilities out of state you know they’re
19:11
they’re really they pushed hard to do
19:13
that we clamped down and said no
19:16
um she’s staying here and you know
19:19
so that was another part of it but yeah
19:22
she’s doing because she’s
19:23
she’s covet negative now right i mean
19:25
she’s she’s not had kovitz for quite
19:26
some time
19:27
well that’s i mean that’s amazing that
19:29
she’s doing well now i i
19:31
i can imagine the thoughts that you were
19:33
having you know three months ago
19:35
uh i i can only yeah
19:38
yeah and everybody was great right they
19:40
started a gofundme account
19:42
um prayers and everybody on facebook
19:46
it was really great but like i said our
19:48
story
19:49
is times thousands and thousands of
19:52
other stories you know icu stories
19:54
in different states i don’t know how
19:56
different states dealt with it but i
19:57
knew
19:58
i know that new york state you know we
20:00
clamped down hard on a lot of things
20:02
that i feel like
20:03
probably could have just a little bit of
20:06
leeway and trust me the people in the
20:07
hospitals
20:09
everybody i dealt with all the nurses
20:11
and the doctors were angels
20:13
and they did skirt some stuff you know
20:15
because
20:16
i was so part of it you know i was there
20:19
every day calling
20:20
every day i sent donuts we sent lunch up
20:22
to those guys whatever i can do because
20:25
that wasn’t enough but at least they
20:28
knew that i was thinking about them and
20:30
you know and and they did everything
20:31
they could to make the situation better
20:34
so they they understand the human touch
20:36
they don’t really care about the
20:37
politics they understand
20:39
about the the nurturing so it would
20:43
to that point they also know they also
20:45
know how to do their jobs and
20:47
this is something we talk about a lot on
20:48
this show is politicians
20:51
set policies largely based on what
20:54
lobbyists tell them are needed now those
20:56
lobbyists may or may not have some level
20:58
of knowledge in the medical sphere or
21:00
none at all they may just be good
21:02
lobbyists
21:02
and they make policies based on this and
21:05
then they put it in the hands of the
21:06
actual experts in whatever the given
21:08
field is
21:09
you know teachers if we’re talking
21:10
education doctors and nurses if we’re
21:12
talking in healthcare
21:14
and everything else and now you have
21:16
people who
21:17
know how to do their jobs being told by
21:19
people who
21:20
don’t know how to do their jobs how to
21:22
do their jobs and that doesn’t seem like
21:24
it ever would make sense
21:26
yeah no it doesn’t and then it stays and
21:29
lingers right
21:30
i mean finally now you can have
21:32
visitation
21:33
and but they’ve given me a visitation
21:35
before that started but then it lingers
21:37
like
21:37
way too long and you know it it
21:41
just it’s so hard to get rid of it like
21:43
you say once you put something down
21:45
man is it hard to lift back up so hard
21:47
to get rid of yeah
21:48
yeah yeah it’s hard you can’t get the
21:50
genie back in the bottle once it’s out
21:52
yeah yeah once it’s out it’s out there
21:54
and
21:56
there’s nothing you can really do about
21:58
it and that’s that
21:59
that’s the problem with a lot of the
22:00
government overreach that’s been
22:02
happening throughout all of
22:03
cove and well all of history but all of
22:06
human history right
22:07
yeah all of human history but like
22:09
specifically with kovid you’ve seen it a
22:11
lot like i’m
22:12
i’m here in florida and our restrictions
22:15
have been the one some of the most lacks
22:18
in the nation
22:19
um and you see it county by county they
22:22
have
22:23
some stronger restrictions than others
22:25
but new york it was just a blanket
22:27
across the board
22:29
and the here in florida
22:33
people may like it depending on which
22:35
county you were in you may not have been
22:36
able to go to the hospital to see
22:37
somebody but in
22:38
other areas you might have been able to
22:40
and people were able to spend time with
22:42
their family and they were able to get
22:43
together and they were able to do things
22:45
and
22:45
be have that social interaction that we
22:47
all need and that we all
22:49
crave as you know as human beings social
22:53
people
22:54
and you’re able to get that here
22:57
so in other states i can’t imagine how
23:00
difficult
23:01
it was even if you weren’t going through
23:03
something like what you went through
23:05
and to go through that on top of
23:08
everything else
23:10
it’s obscene to me yeah that that they
23:14
that the government put you through that
23:17
because
23:18
they wanted to control an entire state
23:21
everything yeah everything yeah yeah
23:25
well yes oh go ahead go ahead
23:28
so she’s like i i was just gonna
23:30
reiterate that she is doing well
23:32
you know it and my granddaughter um you
23:35
know like i said for
23:36
three months she didn’t get a chance to
23:37
see her mama at all i don’t know that
23:38
i’d want her to see in that situation
23:40
but
23:41
um right you know the in the end it
23:44
worked out well
23:45
um but i can’t imagine having someone
23:48
pass away
23:49
and you’re on the outside of the door
23:51
and you weren’t allowed in for those
23:53
last moments and i know that there’s
23:54
lots and lots of those stories
23:56
yeah that it would just be incredible
23:59
and the the pain that um
24:03
the healthcare workers you know mentally
24:06
had gone through
24:07
um it’s just incredible they don’t pay
24:09
them enough
24:11
well i remember reading from uh this was
24:15
a while back
24:15
about how for the past couple decades
24:18
they’ve been
24:18
slowly removing restrictions on visitors
24:21
coming to
24:22
see people in hospitals and the number
24:24
one reason they gave was that
24:26
it made the patients in the hospitals
24:28
their quality of their
24:30
their perceived well-being and their
24:32
quality of life was exponentially better
24:34
and it actually helped the healthcare
24:36
workers because they weren’t having to
24:37
also
24:38
provide the needed human connection
24:42
the same way that someone who has family
24:44
and loved ones visiting them and coming
24:46
swinging by and things like that
24:47
and so that’s why so many hospitals have
24:49
all but done away with visiting hours
24:51
and you know they allow people to come
24:53
as long as they’re being quiet and
24:54
respectful of the other guests you know
24:56
coming you know at all different times
24:57
and things like that
24:58
you know that’s been happening over time
25:00
because the the healthcare again the
25:02
experts the people actually doing this
25:04
have determined that this is the best
25:06
way to help the patients
25:07
and i can’t imagine that you know in
25:09
situations where you have patients that
25:11
might be dying soon
25:13
and almost certainly no longer have
25:15
covid and now we’re just dealing with
25:17
the the after effects of the virus
25:19
uh to not be able to let people come in
25:21
even with like you said they
25:23
they had you put on protective equipment
25:24
and a mask and everything else even with
25:26
those types of you know
25:27
it’s one thing to say okay you have to
25:28
dress up like you’re in a hazmat suit
25:30
okay great but at least you get to see
25:32
your loved one it seems like they should
25:33
be able to do that but i just want to
25:35
before we let you go i just want to give
25:37
our well wishes to sammy
25:39
um and to say we’re so glad that you’re
25:41
doing better
25:42
uh i i know you’re you’re probably not
25:44
at 100 it’s going to be
25:45
it’s going to be a tough road to hoe
25:47
because you’re also recovering
25:48
sami you’re also recovering from chemo
25:50
so in addition to recovering from the
25:52
chemo you’re recovering from covin
25:53
but we know that you will uh bit by bit
25:56
get better and we are just so happy that
25:58
you’re
25:58
you’re back home with family and tony i
26:00
really appreciate it thank you
26:01
i’ll just tell you a quick story my
26:03
daughter has been a libertarian probably
26:05
from the day she was born um both my
26:08
kids are adopted
26:10
but uh my daughter when she got her
26:12
first job and then
26:13
she had to file taxes i think she was
26:15
yes or something like that she’s going
26:17
i’m not filing taxes i’m not doing it
26:20
and
26:20
i said well yeah you are because i don’t
26:22
know any different you know what i mean
26:24
i never was much of into politics but
26:26
she has been
26:27
a hardcore libertarian like all her life
26:30
ever since she can remember so
26:32
you know taxes and don’t tread on me and
26:33
all that stuff has been part of my life
26:35
and
26:36
um for her to get you know i know spike
26:38
put out a
26:39
something about her too so she’s really
26:41
excited to to hear from uh
26:43
from you guys so i appreciate your time
26:45
well that’s awesome well we appreciate
26:47
her support and uh also we think it’s
26:50
great that she immediately recognized
26:52
that she was being robbed by government
26:55
yes absolutely i said
26:58
do what you got to do but you know until
27:00
you’re on your own then figure it out
27:02
but
27:02
right all right guys thank you
27:06
hey thank you tony and uh thanks for
27:08
coming on and again give our give our
27:10
well wishes to sami and uh and and thank
27:12
you for everything you’ve done for
27:14
i appreciate it hey thank you thank you
27:17
thank you
27:17
appreciate it well folks this
27:21
is the uh that was an incredible story
27:25
that was incredible like there was so
27:26
much love in the comments going out to
27:28
him and
27:29
to sand to sam and to uh his family and
27:32
to
27:33
and people were sharing their own
27:34
stories in there as well and it just
27:36
goes to show you like
27:37
the the government overreach touches
27:40
like it
27:41
it hurts so many more people than it
27:44
could possibly help
27:46
uh one of our one of our regular
27:47
listeners uh
27:49
jim lee said that his 94 year old
27:51
grandmother passed away in a retirement
27:53
home last year
27:54
the last six months uh of her life she
27:56
never got human touch
27:57
that’s yeah i’m sorry and it’s it’s
27:59
stuff like that
28:01
that is like i said it’s obscene
28:04
the government should not be causing
28:07
that to happen
28:08
yeah somebody who has a family at 94
28:11
years old should not be dying in that
28:13
situation
28:14
no and we know now that the reason the
28:17
reason they shut down the
28:18
the uh nursing homes was because the
28:20
spread was so rampant there
28:22
we now know that the reason the spread
28:23
was so rampant there was because in
28:25
many states their health protocols
28:28
involved putting patients during
28:30
epidemics putting them in the nursing
28:32
home facilities
28:33
they didn’t bother checking if those
28:35
nursing home facilities had the
28:36
protocols in place
28:37
to protect their residents from these
28:39
cova patients so they just shoved them
28:41
in there
28:42
now once those protections and protocols
28:45
were in place
28:45
there are many ways that you can make
28:47
sure that someone can visit a loved one
28:49
without spreading covid there you can
28:51
require you know
28:52
even if you have to go to the step of
28:54
requiring a you know a negative test
28:56
result
28:56
or you know uh doing symptom checks or
29:00
something like that there there are many
29:01
many ways
29:02
regularly testing the resonance which
29:03
they’ve been doing there are so many
29:05
things that you can do
29:06
that still allows people to come in even
29:08
if it’s not as easily as it was before
29:10
maybe it requires some announcement
29:12
or something like that but let them do
29:14
it in a way that
29:15
you know you don’t have a situation like
29:17
like jimmy just went through with his
29:18
with his grandmother that’s it’s absurd
29:21
for and i i know two other people that
29:23
lost their
29:24
uh their grandparent and another one it
29:26
was a great grandparent actually two
29:27
grandparents and a great grandparent
29:29
who uh one of them did not get to see
29:33
uh the great grandparent toward the end
29:35
and the two
29:36
uh did get to see their grandparents but
29:38
only for a couple times before they died
29:40
and only because they were about to die
29:42
and it’s just you know enough already
29:44
like we we know the science
29:46
much better than we did a year ago we
29:48
know that
29:49
you don’t have to do this and the only
29:52
thing that is keeping
29:53
people from being able to see it it’s
29:55
not the these health centers that want
29:57
it this way it’s
29:58
governments it politicians and
30:00
bureaucrats that are making stupid
30:02
policies that have nothing to do with
30:03
health and everything to do with control
30:05
and uh and it’s time for it to end um so
30:09
uh so go ahead
30:12
i wasn’t gonna say anything oh you were
30:14
just doing the pregnant pause
30:16
yeah okay
30:19
so what the pregnant pause we’re doing
30:22
the pregnant pause
30:25
yeah so that brings us to our next yeah
30:28
i was just mentally preparing for
30:29
you know the what you’re about to
30:31
announce what i’m about to announce i’m
30:33
about to announce something incredible
30:34
matt
30:35
and folks uh this is the
30:39
black cold brewed organic coffee cold
30:42
brewed caffeinated crapid fire segment
30:44
brought to you by black cold brew
30:46
organic coffee the most delicious
30:48
cold brew organic coffee to ever be
30:50
horrifically misspelled
30:52
i mean there’s supposed to be an a there
30:53
matt
30:55
they’re supposed to be an aether map but
30:56
go to black bears blvck brews.com
30:59
and use code mw to get some of that
31:02
sweet sweet free
31:03
shipping you said there was supposed to
31:06
be an a there and i was quickly reading
31:09
the graphic to figure out which word we
31:11
misspelled on it and then i was like oh
31:13
no it wasn’t us it was black coffee
31:16
it wasn’t us we did this perfectly yeah
31:19
we that
31:19
that’s a good graphic perfect spelling
31:22
grammar and placement
31:24
right they screwed up they
31:27
spelled their name wrong they spelled
31:29
their name wrong
31:31
so speaking of doing things
31:36
wrong
31:39
if representatives matt gates of uh
31:42
here in florida and jamin ruskin
31:46
raskin jamin raskin jamin
31:49
up somewhere uh get their way you our
31:52
dear friends
31:54
fans family followers may
31:58
be deprived a of a basic need
32:02
basis
32:05
j j mint jamin no it’s that was copy and
32:08
paste
32:09
so unless cnn got it wrong cnn got it
32:12
wrong it’s jamie raskin
32:16
yeah that was copy and paste so well
32:19
speaking of someone spelling something
32:20
wrong hey great job cnn
32:24
huh so yes so uh matt gates and jamie
32:28
raskin
32:29
have uh joined forces to introduce the
32:31
kangaroo protection act
32:34
of 2021 a very high priority thing
32:38
to protect kangaroos map
32:41
yes uh the kangaroo protection act of
32:44
2021
32:45
uh would prohibit the sale of kangaroo
32:47
products which would include meat
32:49
or uh skin leather from their skin or
32:54
fur i’m not really sure what comes from
32:56
a kangaroo in this country including uh
32:58
like i said meat and leather and the
33:00
importation of the same
33:04
now it contains language in this bill
33:08
that it would establish a private right
33:12
of action meaning that people could file
33:13
suit against alleged violators to uphold
33:16
the law so
33:17
somebody who is say an animal rights
33:20
activist who really
33:21
is on this kangaroo protection
33:25
train that seems to be sweeping the
33:27
nation
33:29
suddenly this this this rapid
33:32
this this widespread grassroots movement
33:36
to protect kangaroos from
33:39
being eaten from being eaten um
33:43
could sue somebody who has kangaroomi in
33:45
the country or who
33:46
has a brand new kangaroo pelt in the
33:50
country
33:51
now you know all of them you
33:54
if you had to take a guess this isn’t in
33:55
the notes if you had to take a guess at
33:57
how much money
34:01
uh we spend importing or how much money
34:04
australia gets from us
34:05
importing kangaroo accoutrement
34:08
uh how much do you think
34:12
how much and no i said paraphernalia um
34:16
how much do i think well i know kangaroo
34:19
is increasingly popular in dog food
34:21
kangaroo meat
34:22
so it’s in the millions
34:26
it is in the millions yes is it in the
34:30
hundreds of millions it is not in the
34:32
hundreds of millions
34:34
it is 85 85 million
34:37
85 million dollars a year on uh
34:40
kangaroo meat or well kangaroo
34:43
paraphernalia
34:44
and uh accoutrements kangaroos and
34:46
kangaroo accessories
34:48
there are also uh groups in there are
34:51
also groups in uh australia
34:53
that call themselves kanga kangatarians
34:57
and it is the only meat that they eat
35:00
that’s
35:01
sure what is also discovered is that the
35:05
aboriginal tribes
35:06
are the main people who make money off
35:08
of this
35:09
oh so this is racist too the proposed
35:13
kangaroo ban comes as kangaroo meat is
35:16
gaining popularity in australia and
35:17
apparently in the us
35:19
because it’s valued as an
35:20
environmentally friendly alternative to
35:22
beef and pork
35:23
keep in mind folks there’s a crap ton of
35:26
kangaroos and that is an
35:27
australian metric that i’m using there
35:29
are so many kangaroos are
35:31
over running australia and i know that
35:34
sounds like some kind of punch line
35:36
or a setup to a punch line of a joke
35:38
it’s like there’s they’re everywhere
35:40
there is no shortage of kangaroos they
35:43
uh rapidly they’re like giant bunnies
35:46
they rapidly multiply
35:48
and they don’t really have uh any real
35:51
like
35:51
predators except for us apparently and
35:55
they take up their the the and i i only
35:58
know this because i
35:59
i looked this up briefly when i kept
36:00
seeing references to kangaroo meat and
36:02
dog food back when i was looking for new
36:04
dog food for for my dogs
36:06
and i was like kangaroo meat and i’m
36:08
looking it up yeah no it’s actually like
36:10
a
36:10
pretty like the carbon footprint of
36:12
kangaroo meat is much lower than factory
36:15
farmed beef and pork and chicken
36:16
it’s it’s actually it is environmentally
36:19
friendly
36:19
but they’re trying to protect
36:23
them because they’re cute
36:26
i don’t why are why why did they say why
36:30
apparently there is a group a few groups
36:33
of animal
36:34
uh rights activists who have jumped on
36:36
this
36:37
jumped up who have jumped on this
36:40
uh we need to protect the kangaroo
36:43
bandwagon
36:44
and they got to jamie raskin and matt
36:46
gutz gates
36:49
to matt down here in florida two
36:51
well-known kangaroo lovers
36:53
two well yeah very well known kangaroo
36:55
lovers um
36:56
and they drafted this build again i i
36:59
honestly have no idea all i know this
37:01
story is that so stupid one it hurts the
37:05
aboriginal tribes if
37:08
85 million dollars that’s a lot of money
37:10
that’s a lot of walking around money
37:12
yeah
37:12
right and
37:16
they’re stopping you the consumer
37:20
from being able to purchase
37:24
meat meat or
37:28
blankets or like a lucky
37:31
lucky kangaroo fillet
37:34
wow that would that that’s a keychain
37:37
worth having
37:38
so does this is this retroactive like if
37:40
if someone can sue you because you have
37:42
a lucky kangaroo foot that your
37:46
gr great grandpa passed down to you
37:51
no i don’t think i i think that it’s
37:52
just i think this only stops the
37:54
importation
37:56
um i think it stops the importation and
37:58
should you
37:59
happen to bring it into the country uh
38:02
somebody who is a private citizen could
38:04
sue you
38:05
i hope so because i mean my taxidermy
38:09
kangaroo that’s in the living room is
38:11
gonna
38:12
i’m not giving it up mulan kange
38:15
do you have a taxidermy kangaroo in your
38:17
living room
38:18
for the purpose of this joke yes fair
38:20
okay um
38:21
so if you want to now i’m going to let
38:24
you say this because you wrote it
38:27
man i was really hoping you were going
38:28
to say that one so if you want to try
38:30
kangaroo meat before this bill almost
38:32
assuredly passes
38:33
you better hop to it ha ha
38:36
ha ha because they hop
38:40
i laughed for 10 minutes after i wrote
38:42
that joke um
38:45
but here like this this bill is going to
38:47
pass for democrats it’s like
38:49
it’s we care about the animals we care
38:52
about the environment even though what
38:53
they’re doing is actually hurting the
38:54
environment
38:56
it is the barest of minimum that they
38:59
can do to be like
39:00
oh look we care about the environment we
39:02
want to protect things because it’s not
39:04
actually hurting
39:04
anything here i mean this would be like
39:07
banning
39:08
eating crickets or something like
39:10
there’s so many of them
39:11
and it’s so it’s sustainable because
39:14
they’re
39:15
it’s it’s like bunnies like they they
39:17
breed like rabbits this is
39:19
so stupid so speaking of something
39:23
stupid that’s gonna change everything
39:26
this is something i’ve been saying
39:28
that i thought was gonna happen and it
39:30
makes sense
39:31
when you look at what he’s been you know
39:34
upset about
39:34
and also the fact that he’s never gonna
39:36
be allowed on other social media
39:38
outfits ever again donald trump is
39:40
coming out with a no
39:42
new social media platform that one of
39:44
his campaign advisors said
39:46
is going to change the game matt
39:49
it’s going to be great it’s going to
39:51
change the game
39:53
it’s going to be big it’s going to be
39:54
huge be the best um
39:56
many people are saying that my social
39:58
media is better than all of their social
40:00
media it’s gonna be better than all
40:01
other social media it’s gonna be better
40:03
than twitter
40:04
um and as we all know that trump has a
40:07
long line
40:08
of products that change the game such as
40:10
trump airlines
40:12
trump university trump stakes
40:15
trump ice for anybody who remembers the
40:18
fizzy beverage that he came out with
40:21
trump vodka that i guess was supposed to
40:23
go out with
40:24
trump ice um and trump magazine
40:29
interrupt taj mahal and trump taj mahal
40:32
the taj mahal was dope though
40:33
like i used to go there it was great but
40:36
it went out of business
40:37
but it was great yeah it was great um
40:40
so we we’re gonna see if uh what do you
40:43
think the name of this
40:44
like i have been trying to figure that
40:45
out trump trump
40:48
trump it’s just gonna be called trump
40:50
it’s gonna be
40:51
it’s j trump book i think it’s just
40:54
gonna be trump in all caps
40:56
just you’re gonna abs come come follow
40:58
me we’re gonna get all these emails
41:00
from people inviting us inviting us to
41:03
trump
41:05
come join me at trump join me on trump
41:09
this makes sense because uh
41:12
you know he pardoned steve bannon who
41:15
has
41:16
some you know knowledge of of web
41:18
marketing and is also
41:19
a huckster and grifter and so this would
41:23
line up very well
41:24
to create a social media
41:27
slash media network now i wonder if
41:31
you know here’s my theory on this
41:39
if they name it magaspace i’ll join it
41:41
just for the troll
41:42
that is beautiful out of respect for
41:46
that
41:46
i will definitely i hope you’re all
41:48
right i hope yeah
41:50
maga space would be perfect i would join
41:53
megaspace
41:54
i would absolutely 100 join magaspace so
41:57
you know eddie waters media on magus on
42:00
megaspace
42:01
um i uh yeah no i i
42:05
you know i might i presume that it’s
42:07
going to be
42:08
you know we allow all sorts of speech
42:12
i wonder what will happen if they create
42:15
this
42:16
uh social media outfit with no rules
42:19
presumably of about speech and
42:23
a bunch of like gen z left-wing trolls
42:27
go on there
42:28
and just wreck the place with you know
42:32
unironic communist memes and stuff like
42:34
that and then that trump book in
42:36
reaction has to
42:37
restrict speech and create community
42:39
standards and so forth
42:41
i don’t think so i don’t think he’s
42:42
going to do a free
42:44
a free speech platform i think he will
42:47
restrict speech
42:48
i think that he will try to do the anti
42:51
twitter or the anti
42:52
facebook where so where the community
42:54
standards are in reverse
42:56
and revert like you you can say right
42:59
wing
43:00
talking points right or
43:03
gtfo
43:07
like i i i could see him doing that
43:09
being like no this is the place for
43:10
conservatives and right-wingers to come
43:13
and talk
43:14
with each other in their own little echo
43:16
chamber and you can leave
43:18
the leftist echo chambers of twitter and
43:20
facebook and
43:23
youtube and whatever um and
43:26
i i could see him doing that i wonder if
43:29
we are able to sell ourselves as right
43:32
wing
43:34
depends on the day we could just so like
43:37
if it’s immigration we could just be
43:39
like
43:40
we support what the founders did never
43:42
everyone will be like yeah
43:44
yeah yeah with the founders
43:47
we we love those founders those founders
43:50
yay founders so we’ll see if this uh if
43:53
this lives up to the hype of trump
43:54
products and
43:55
man i hope it’s called maga space if not
43:57
magaspace then just trump
43:58
like just trump um so speaking of a
44:02
maga space kamala harris uh
44:06
breed a sigh of relief this week as many
44:09
staffers in the white house
44:10
who had previously used marijuana were
44:13
demoted or outright
44:14
fired but she who famously laughed about
44:18
her marijuana use during college
44:19
got to keep her job i presume it’s
44:21
because she also then
44:23
did penance for her smoking weed by
44:25
locking up
44:27
hundreds of thousands of people for
44:28
smoking weed
44:30
of course after you lock up hundreds of
44:34
thousands of people for smoking weed
44:37
how do you then laugh about your weed
44:41
your marijuana usage like
44:47
do you not see the disconnect on how bad
44:50
what you did was
44:54
no no they don’t there i mean yeah
44:57
um well that’s
45:00
yeah oh magga wall that’s a good call
45:06
i can see it having something to do with
45:07
the wall
45:09
maga wall and it’s also a wall to keep
45:12
out
45:13
never trumpers right and you’re gonna
45:16
have your own wall that you post to
45:21
they’re bringing back the wall yeah
45:25
wow that sounds
45:28
terrible that sounds awful
45:32
and i can’t wait it sounds like a
45:33
nightmare so
45:36
i’ll tell you something that isn’t a
45:38
nightmare and
45:40
well actually so you you tell me matt so
45:43
our next guest
45:45
well you know founder’s choice we uh our
45:48
next guest
45:49
is going to be talking about asia and
45:51
then we’ll be doing a topic about asia
45:53
do you want to do the topic first or the
45:55
guest first
45:56
let’s do the uh let’s do the guest first
45:58
okay cool
45:59
all right i will do that so you have to
46:02
come up with a funny
46:04
a funny joke to tell people while i’m
46:06
getting our next guest
46:09
so um for
46:12
many of you out there you know that uh
46:14
superfan sarah anderegg
46:16
uh has two lovely
46:19
and beautiful children um oh thank god
46:24
where did you think i was going i did
46:26
not know
46:28
okay um as two lovely and beautiful
46:30
children
46:31
children and the younger one is a little
46:34
bit on the uh
46:37
sociopathic side and he told me this
46:40
joke once
46:40
and i’m not sure if i’ve told it on the
46:42
show so i’m going to tell it again
46:44
i don’t know but it’s a great joke
46:46
please tell them
46:48
so he he is lying on his bed and i’m
46:51
saying good night to
46:52
you know him and his brother and he says
46:56
matt why would somebody want to rip out
47:01
their belly button
47:05
and i said i don’t think anybody would
47:06
want to do that and he goes no
47:08
like why and i said i don’t know why and
47:09
he goes because they want to die
47:13
he was four yeah and then he laughed
47:18
like if anybody um i can’t do that
47:22
because i don’t want to spoil anything
47:23
for anybody who hasn’t seen it yet
47:25
so for anybody who saw jared leto in
47:29
suicide squad he laughed like that that
47:37
because he thought that was the funniest
47:38
joke he has ever heard
47:40
in his entire life and have you
47:44
have you replaced jacob with
47:47
joaquin phoenix no not yet
47:51
not yet soon um
47:54
so i we’re gonna do
47:59
the topic first because his
48:02
we that’s the skype id i was given
48:05
doesn’t work
48:06
yeah no that doesn’t all right doesn’t
48:08
work
48:09
yeah that doesn’t work so
48:14
speaking of asia speaking of asia
48:17
speaking of speak jacob’s terrible joke
48:22
i love that joke no that’s good that’s
48:24
my favorite joke
48:26
i like that so at first you were
48:27
horrified by by it but now it’s like
48:29
when you tell at
48:30
dinner no no i tell that joke to
48:33
everybody
48:34
now um okay you keep talking i think
48:38
this might work
48:40
okay are we going with asia are we going
48:43
with
48:43
uh with nate i just talk about jacob a
48:46
little more
48:48
okay um but yeah jake jacob is a uh
48:51
he’s a funny funny little kid who
48:55
comes up with terrible jokes like that
48:56
often uh his brother david
48:59
uh is also very funny but in a
49:00
completely different way
49:02
uh apparently he’s the one that comes up
49:04
with the jokes
49:05
but jacob’s the one who says them um so
49:09
it’s a lot like spike
49:11
okay so it’s a lot like spiking me where
49:13
spike comes up with the jokes and then
49:15
i’m the one that says
49:16
them because he has a reputation to
49:17
protect
49:19
i’m so disgusted by the jokes that you
49:21
tell you have no
49:23
no idea
49:26
um how do i add i’m still
49:30
doing and andrea o’donnell in the
49:32
comments said
49:33
why can’t elsa have a balloon
49:39
oh no i don’t know she’ll let it go
49:46
i thought that was going to be morbid no
49:49
i was hoping it was going to be morbid
49:56
um
49:58
uh so speaking of asia
50:03
so speaking of asia
50:09
children joe biden okay yeah you just
50:12
just
50:13
go on joe biden uh is in a fight with an
50:17
entire continent right now
50:18
um he is uh fighting all of asia
50:22
uh and then the big one the biggest one
50:25
what’s that
50:26
the biggest one yes in an interview last
50:29
week with
50:30
george stephanopoulos um
50:33
i definitely spelled that name wrong uh
50:35
asked whether or not
50:36
joe thinks vladimir putin is a killer
50:40
to which joe responded with
50:44
i do now
50:47
not sure if this is the most diplomatic
50:49
thing for a president to say
50:51
about a foreign leader especially a
50:54
president that was brought in because
50:56
he was so presidential and you didn’t
50:58
have to worry about
50:59
things that might embarrass the nation
51:01
or piss off other countries
51:03
um like calling up a foreign leader a
51:06
killer
51:07
like calling a foreign leader a killer
51:10
now
51:10
dmitry peskov a crim i can say that one
51:13
fine but i have trouble with
51:15
jamie raskin uh dimitri pescov who is no
51:19
cnn did
51:20
cnn screwed that up matt don’t take that
51:22
on for yourself i appreciate that
51:24
uh a kremlin spokesman uh commented that
51:27
there hasn’t been anything like this
51:30
in history where a president called
51:34
another foreign leader
51:35
a killer and it is clear that biden
51:38
definitely does not want to improve
51:39
relations between the us
51:41
and russia
51:47
ever in history that i mean that’s what
51:50
he’s
51:51
i’m just reading the quote that’s a i
51:53
mean that’s a little
51:54
i mean it’s it’s has there ever been a
51:57
situation where george stephanopoulos
52:01
uh asked whether or not a president
52:04
thinks that
52:05
someone is a killer and they respond i
52:07
do
52:08
uh yeah but i mean
52:12
even just between the u.s and russia
52:14
there’s some pretty rough stuff that was
52:16
said during the cold war
52:18
he said uh what’s this these are very
52:21
bad statements by the president of the
52:23
united states
52:24
he definitely doesn’t want to improve
52:25
relations with us and we will continue
52:27
to proceed from this
52:29
now putin uh had a very odd cryptic
52:33
thing for someone to say who has a
52:35
history of
52:36
who has a history of giving people
52:38
radioactive isotopes so they can die
52:40
without any way to stop it
52:42
now before i know that you are a regular
52:44
on
52:45
rt are you okay with saying these things
52:48
because you’re a russian bot
52:53
you’re not gonna short out in the middle
52:54
of the show i mean i hope not
52:56
we’re gonna find out just how deep the
52:58
microchip goes
52:59
um when putin was asked about it he said
53:02
it’s true we really know each other
53:05
personally
53:06
what would i answer him i would tell him
53:08
be healthy
53:10
i wish him good health i say this
53:14
without irony
53:15
no jokes this is first of all that is
53:20
that is a terrifying terrifying
53:22
statement from somebody who has
53:25
from who probably murdered a bunch of
53:28
people
53:29
just who has like straight up given
53:32
i mean there’s killing someone and then
53:35
there’s
53:36
putting polonium in their body so they
53:39
die slowly and painfully and there’s
53:41
nothing anyone can do to stop it
53:43
right that’s he went on to
53:47
add when we evaluate other people states
53:50
and nations we always seem to be looking
53:52
in the mirror we always see ourselves
53:54
we always pass on to another person what
53:57
we ourselves are
53:58
in essence essentially wow saying
54:01
joe biden you’re a murderer
54:05
i’m right so putin basically said i’m
54:07
rubber and you’re glued
54:09
whatever you say bounces off me and
54:12
comes back to you
54:13
radioactive right
54:17
and then he said in childhood when we
54:20
argued with each other we said
54:21
he who calls names is called that
54:23
himself this is no coincidence
54:26
this is not just a challenge joke it has
54:28
a very deep psychological meaning
54:31
wow that is quite a response from
54:34
the leader of another country you know
54:37
that old childhood
54:38
trope he who calls names is called that
54:41
himself
54:42
this is very like this is this comes
54:45
from a society
54:47
that is very very
54:50
very serious it’s a yes it is a very
54:54
it’s very serious and then uh putin
54:57
continued
54:59
and putin being putin uh responded by
55:02
challenging joe biden to a debate
55:05
oh gosh seconded i would like to offer
55:09
joe
55:09
or president biden the opportunity to
55:11
continue our discussion
55:13
but on condition that will do so what is
55:16
called
55:16
live online without anything
55:19
pre-recorded in an open and direct
55:21
discussion
55:23
yes i want this he said that he thinks
55:26
it would be interesting and good for
55:28
both the people of russia
55:29
and us here in the united states and
55:32
honestly
55:34
yes who doesn’t want to see this
55:37
i mean granted only to see this
55:40
granted joe biden was made to look like
55:43
a [ __ ] on the foreign stage like
55:45
multiple times this week and this would
55:47
probably only make it worse depending on
55:49
how much adderall they could pump him up
55:50
with right beforehand
55:54
okay but this is pure
55:57
entertainment i desperately desperately
56:00
want
56:01
joe biden and vladimir putin to have a
56:05
battle of wits
56:07
please just and yes it would
56:10
100 lead to nuclear war
56:13
the things that joe biden would say
56:20
i mean just remember how biden and trump
56:21
went
56:23
could oh man come on someone make this
56:26
guy shut up man come on man
56:28
come on man you’re come on man that’s a
56:30
bunch of malarkey he’s a clown
56:32
your country’s just this is clown show
56:34
country man
56:35
just a bunch of clowns like we should
56:37
have knew you when we had the chance man
56:39
this guy’s a bad dude
56:44
we should have nuked you before the
56:45
rosenbergs gave you the codes
56:48
this is wow yeah
56:51
uh when asked if the debate would happen
56:53
jen circle back
56:55
saki said
56:58
i’ll have to get back to you
57:02
uh i know she didn’t say it uh i’ll have
57:04
to get back to you
57:05
if that is something we’re entertaining
57:07
i would say that the president already
57:09
had a conversation
57:11
with president putin even as there are
57:13
more world leaders that he has not yet
57:15
engaged with
57:17
boo and i mean thank god he hasn’t
57:19
engaged with more world leaders at this
57:21
point
57:22
i mean really god
57:25
and so i i just i want to circle back to
57:27
what she said
57:28
i think that i think that
57:32
this is the thing that i want
57:35
more than any other thing including
57:38
world peace which this would definitely
57:40
not contribute to world peace
57:42
i desperately desperately
57:46
desperately want to see joe biden
57:49
and give him like a lot of coffee first
57:51
right
57:52
and he’s going need the he’s gonna need
57:53
the adderall yeah i want
57:55
high energy you’re gonna have to add a
57:58
hole full of mud water
57:59
muddied water yes oh yeah oh you know
58:01
what would help joe biden
58:03
joe biden would probably be helped by
58:06
mud water the official coffee
58:07
alternative
58:08
of money waters media joe biden would
58:10
benefit i’m sure matt from having that
58:12
amazing proprietary blend of masala chai
58:15
cacao
58:16
mushrooms turmeric sea salt and nothing
58:19
else
58:20
maybe a little bit of honey just to help
58:21
with the taste there but
58:23
and there’s some great news uh for the
58:25
biden administration if they go to
58:27
muddywatersmedia.com
58:29
mud they can get some mud water today
58:37
completely off topic um i was reading
58:39
something
58:40
earlier about how uh they are now
58:43
it’s an email was leaked that they are
58:45
no longer calling this the joe biden
58:47
administration or the biden
58:48
administration but they’re calling it
58:49
the
58:50
biden harris administration and that
58:53
kamala harris is actually doing uh reach
58:55
out phone calls to world leaders
58:58
that’s i mean honestly
59:01
that’s probably for the best
59:05
i mean i’m just i mean it just it just
59:08
really means that they are prepping her
59:09
like they know
59:11
they know what’s gonna happen yeah i
59:14
mean
59:15
like everyone that’s sitting here like
59:17
oh joe biden uh
59:19
two-term president already working for
59:21
his second term said but he’s working
59:22
for his second
59:23
month like or i guess third month now
59:26
like i mean your fourth
59:27
yeah four months but like this second
59:30
semester 60
59:31
right now yeah it’s like he’s working on
59:33
his second semester
59:34
this is you know like this
59:38
no it’s not to this man this man is you
59:41
know like oh he’s only in a seven he’s
59:43
crumbling
59:44
in front of us like even it’s one thing
59:46
to go oh look at joe biden from 2008
59:48
look at joe biden from last year
59:51
or the year before look at joe biden
59:52
before he started the primaries
59:54
like look at him in the first debate and
59:57
now
59:58
this is a very lost man
60:01
this is yeah so
60:05
okay so that’s so that’s what we would
60:08
expect
60:08
right and at the same time that uh all
60:10
of this was happening
60:12
with the russians um
60:16
secretary of state anthony winkenblanken
60:18
and nod
60:19
was at a summit in alaska and spoke of
60:23
deep concern about china’s behavior and
60:25
condemned china for making the world
60:28
more violent it’s an odd thing
60:33
it’s an odd thing for somebody to say
60:35
who just bombed a country
60:37
um not even a few
60:40
not defending china’s actions yeah not
60:42
defending china’s actions not even
60:44
not defending yeah but it’s hard
60:47
it’s hard the last people that should be
60:50
saying anything should not be
60:54
talking about you’re making the world
60:56
more violent do you remember when we
60:58
just dropped those bombs in syria
61:01
uh yeah you know i i was actually i i
61:03
was asked this on
61:05
quite a bit on the campaign trail and
61:06
even since then you know how should we
61:09
respond to
61:10
belligerent national governments and i
61:13
say we should stop
61:14
ours from being that way you know like
61:17
it’s
61:17
first of all that’s what we have the
61:18
most control over if any um and also
61:21
it’s hard for any of us in this country
61:24
especially within government
61:25
to finger wag against foreign
61:27
governments being belligerent when our
61:29
government is exponentially more
61:30
belligerent in many ways
61:32
um you know so i i think that that would
61:35
help with the
61:39
dog
61:44
that would help with the dog matt um so
61:50
so china’s top diplomat uh yang
61:54
yang yang yang gichi responded with
61:59
is that the way that you had hoped to
62:00
conduct this dialogue
62:02
well i think you thought too well i
62:04
think we thought too well of the us
62:07
we thought the u.s side will follow the
62:09
necessary diplomatic protocols he said
62:12
adding that the united states does not
62:14
have the qualifi qualification to say
62:17
that it wants to speak to china
62:18
from a position of strength
62:22
they they literally were like is this a
62:26
real
62:26
tweet no he literally said that to him
62:29
in person
62:31
oh gosh he said that to him at an
62:33
alaskan summit
62:35
uh that joshua josh our friend joshua
62:37
mccos
62:38
up in alaska he actually posted the link
62:41
in the
62:41
comments uh a little bit before we got
62:44
there but yes
62:45
this was during a summit in alaska where
62:47
anthony wink and blanket and nod
62:49
uh said that they were deeply concerned
62:52
about china’s behavior
62:53
and this was his direct response to him
62:57
in person wow that is so cringy
63:02
it’s so crazy like it that is so
63:06
that is so cringy and also
63:09
you’re getting embarrassed in your own
63:11
country
63:15
wow yeah
63:18
yang jichi uh sat down in alaska
63:22
and basically told anthony winkenblinken
63:25
and nod
63:26
to uh well
63:29
btfo btfo he he told me btfo and anthony
63:34
and get this covid test um get this
63:38
chinese coveted test
63:43
can you imagine what the parking lots
63:44
there must be like
63:46
like in those testing centers
63:51
like how do you do drive-through anal
63:53
testing actually don’t tell me
63:55
oh you have somebody driving you have to
63:57
have somebody driving and then the
63:58
window rolled down
64:00
the back window rolled down and it’s
64:02
like when you moon
64:03
somebody in a 1950s movie
64:08
right but then you get a
64:11
get a parting gift well you know what’s
64:14
happening though
64:15
no i know what’s happening
64:19
oh they know what’s happening oh i see
64:20
what you’re saying okay
64:22
all right we’re about to add like a
64:23
legit like serious guest
64:26
and we’re just gonna wait for them to
64:28
come on
64:29
and uh so you know
64:32
this is this is not the only thing that
64:36
the uh that the biden administration has
64:38
demonstrated uh
64:40
somewhat of a belligerent or or worrying
64:43
attitude when it comes to
64:45
foreign policy uh particularly in asia
64:48
um
64:48
we of course know uh you know any hope
64:51
that there was going to be a
64:52
a drawdown much less an end to the
64:56
uh to the to the wars overseas
64:58
especially in
64:59
um in afghanistan are pretty much dead
65:02
at this point um in fact if anything it
65:05
looks like there’s going to be even more
65:06
ramping up of
65:08
uh of problems in in
65:11
um in afghanistan but also in other
65:14
places like
65:16
syria and uh lebanon and well
65:19
lebanon syria and iraq and and yemen is
65:21
going to continue to worsen
65:23
and so we actually have i believe
65:26
i think maybe
65:30
i think i don’t i believe we have our
65:33
next
65:34
guest yes it appears we do uh we so our
65:36
next guest
65:37
uh is the um he is
65:41
uh the grassroots engagement director
65:44
for the concerned veterans of america
65:46
which is a branch of the
65:48
americans for prosperity um and uh he’s
65:51
also
65:51
a u.s navy veteran and uh he is coming
65:55
on to talk
65:55
about uh the war in afghanistan and the
65:59
situation in asia in general
66:00
and just in general you know what’s
66:02
going on with the biden administration
66:03
when it comes to foreign policy so
66:05
ladies and gentlemen without any further
66:07
ado please
66:08
welcome to the show uh mr nate
66:11
banks nate thanks so much for being on
66:14
thanks for having me
66:16
yeah glad glad you uh glad you could
66:18
join us here
66:20
um where where are you located right now
66:23
i’m in albuquerque new mexico okay there
66:26
we go
66:28
now i have i have a question for you and
66:31
this is
66:31
has absolutely nothing to do with what
66:33
you’re going to talk about
66:34
um you are the grassroots uh
66:38
engagement director for concerned
66:40
veterans for america
66:41
um when the cva was in tampa in 2013
66:47
and ayla brown sang the national anthem
66:50
uh were you there i was not okay
66:54
so one of the very last times i ever
66:57
drank alcohol was with the group that
66:59
was
67:00
there and i was wondering if you were
67:03
one of the people that was
67:05
i have been wondering since he wants to
67:07
apologize to you for how he conducted
67:09
himself
67:10
probably i don’t know at the c4a c4a
67:13
event see
67:15
i i i got sober like a week later um
67:18
so i was just wondering if you were one
67:20
of the last people alive
67:22
to see me uh inebriated
67:25
no but i probably know several of them
67:27
probably
67:28
yeah so just if you can apply if you can
67:30
tell them that matt wright says he’s
67:32
sorry
67:33
they’ll know what that means probably uh
67:35
yeah they won’t need
67:37
any any explanation so before we get
67:39
into this subject nate tell us a little
67:41
bit about yourself and what got you into
67:43
you know being involved with the
67:44
concerns of
67:45
concerned veterans for america in the
67:46
first place
67:48
well honestly it was a fight that i had
67:51
with the va
67:52
i’m a disabled vet and i was living in
67:55
northwest new mexico
67:57
the va or i it was bef
68:01
it was before the va mission act had
68:03
passed into law which was
68:04
a landmark piece of legislation that we
68:06
helped get past
68:08
which opened up uh community care
68:10
options for veterans
68:12
what i did is i went to the emergency or
68:15
i went to
68:16
urgent care and they asked me to go to
68:19
the emergency room to get
68:20
some imaging done so i did and the
68:24
emergency room when they did the the
68:26
contrast ct scan they found
68:28
a mass on my kidney and
68:31
the state director of americans for
68:34
prosperity
68:35
burley kane he he helped me navigate
68:39
the uh the va system with the help of
68:42
of cva here in new mexico and
68:46
standing united states congressman at
68:49
the time
68:50
so i used the they helped me to net to
68:54
get through that that mess because
68:56
the va wanted me to drive four hours
68:59
to get surgery done to remove this mass
69:01
from my kidney that turned out to be
69:03
cancer
69:04
and then i was gonna have to turn in in
69:06
return i was gonna have to drive
69:08
for all of my follow-up care and and
69:11
after
69:11
all the other visits that i was gonna
69:12
have to do they wanted me to drive four
69:14
hours each way
69:16
in order to get that care done when i
69:17
could have just gone 45 minutes
69:19
to the best hospital in the region and
69:23
with all of my support system my family
69:26
and friends that were going to help me
69:27
recover
69:28
they wanted me to to forgo all that to
69:30
just to use their system
69:34
and i’m sure nate having been through
69:36
that experience i’m sure that you walked
69:38
away thinking gee
69:39
i hope government takes over all
69:40
healthcare
69:44
well they’ve got their fingers in it
69:46
pretty deep already
69:48
but exactly great
69:51
any any further and and i think the rest
69:53
of the population will get to experience
69:54
what veterans get to experience on a
69:56
daily basis
69:58
yeah and and we you know on the campaign
70:01
trail uh when i was running for
70:02
vice president our policy joe and and
70:05
and my policy
70:07
and really this is for the vast majority
70:09
of libertarians our policy for the va
70:11
was completely scrap it and just give
70:13
the money directly to veterans
70:15
so that you can get the care that you
70:16
need the same way that anyone else who
70:18
has health insurance can get the care
70:20
that you need
70:20
it actually costs less than keeping the
70:22
va system going
70:24
and it allows you to get care just like
70:25
everyone else you don’t have to spend
70:27
months or years to prove your percentage
70:29
of this ability to get any kind of help
70:31
you don’t have to go through all the
70:32
hoops and and and red tape to get help
70:34
you don’t have to end up in a situation
70:36
where they want you to travel you know
70:37
sometimes to a completely different
70:39
state to get
70:40
care including even follow-up care and
70:42
you’re able to just get the help that
70:44
you need
70:44
where you need it when you need it uh
70:46
without having to go through a bunch of
70:47
hoops and it saves taxpayers money
70:49
um that was our policy and i i the fact
70:52
that neither
70:53
republicans nor democrats are talking
70:55
about it uh
70:56
the real problem which is the system
70:58
itself and they’re just arguing over the
71:00
the funding or what figurehead should be
71:02
in charge
71:03
tells you how serious they are about the
71:04
situation
71:06
right and as far as as far as cva’s uh
71:10
our pov on that our our our vision
71:14
there’s a lot of veterans world war ii
71:16
korea and and
71:17
vietnam especially that really like the
71:19
care that they get at the va
71:21
so we wouldn’t want to completely pull
71:24
the rug out from underneath them but
71:26
veterans should have choice over the
71:28
care that they’ve earned
71:29
for sure and whether they choose to get
71:33
that at the va
71:34
or whether they choose to get that out
71:36
in the community it should be up to them
71:37
that the dollar should follow the vet
71:39
and the bureaucracy should
71:41
should step aside for what’s best for
71:43
the vet
71:44
at the very least at the very least they
71:46
should have the choice to be able to use
71:47
that
71:48
yeah absolutely so tell us about
71:51
what are some of the main issues that uh
71:55
uh and you said c is it c v for a or c
71:58
for a what what’s the
71:59
abbreviate what’s the uh the acronym
72:01
you’re using
72:03
what concerned veterans for america
72:06
so cb4a
72:14
we just refer to it in short short text
72:16
of cba
72:18
oh cva okay cool cool cool all right so
72:20
what are some of the main things that
72:22
cva
72:22
is fighting for and and advocating for
72:25
or against right now
72:28
so the main the main thing that we’re
72:30
focused on right now and have been since
72:32
at least 2019 is ending the war in
72:36
afghanistan
72:37
it’s a war that’s been going on for
72:39
almost 20 years now
72:40
matter of fact i was on the first
72:41
carrier battle group to deploy
72:43
for afghanistan uss theodore roosevelt
72:46
and that was
72:47
in 2001 i now i have a 23 year old
72:50
daughter
72:51
who’s already raised her hand to join
72:53
the national guard that could go and
72:54
fight in the same exact war that her old
72:56
man fought in
72:57
wow that’s that puts it in perspective
73:01
holy crap
73:01
yeah that really does like and i’ve
73:03
heard
73:05
i know a lot of people who were in the
73:06
military and
73:08
many of them uh many of them were saying
73:11
that
73:12
they they know people or they have
73:16
children who are now fighting in the
73:17
same war that they’ve already fought in
73:19
and yeah that is mind-boggling to me
73:22
that this has been going on that long
73:26
i remember when the war in afghanistan
73:28
got started
73:29
and at the time i was a completely
73:32
different person than i am now
73:33
and i was like yeah we need to go out
73:35
over there and we need to win because
73:37
9 11 for some reason and
73:40
now like it didn’t take long where i was
73:43
like why are we even in afghanistan we
73:45
don’t need to be there it makes no sense
73:47
that we’re there
73:48
and that was 15 16 years ago that i
73:52
started saying that
73:53
and nothing has changed right
73:56
so after 9 11 we we feel that we were
74:00
justified to go in there
74:01
for a response the the fact is that we
74:05
we met basically all of our objectives
74:07
by the fall of 2002
74:10
so we’ve been operating over there
74:12
without any clear objectives for
74:14
quite some time now if you read the
74:16
afghanistan papers the report that came
74:18
out in the washington post last year
74:20
it highlighted from the commanders on
74:22
the ground
74:23
exactly what was going on over there
74:26
so uh yeah no the afghanistan papers
74:29
completely blew
74:30
the the narrative out of the out of the
74:33
water
74:34
absolutely so matter of fact if
74:38
if your viewers people that are watching
74:40
if they want to do anything
74:42
they could they can text e-e-w
74:45
that’s echo echo whiskey to four six two
74:48
six two
74:50
four six two six two yes sir
74:53
now what that’ll do is it’ll give them
74:55
access to
74:57
what one of our petitions it’s called an
74:58
i volunteer they
75:00
if they make a login
75:03
all they have to do is click a button to
75:05
sign an action for any of these that we
75:07
have
75:08
but it’ll take you to conserve veterans
75:11
for america’s website 2b4a.org
75:14
and that action center once you fill
75:16
that out it’ll send a letter
75:18
to your congressman each of your
75:20
senators and to president biden
75:22
asking them to get us out of the war in
75:24
afghanistan
75:25
bring all the troops home that’s good
75:28
that’s good that’s incredible like matt
75:29
was saying
75:30
we’ve had for a few years now people who
75:32
served in afghanistan
75:34
and then their children are now serving
75:37
in that same war
75:38
we’re now at a point where people served
75:40
in afghanistan and there are people
75:41
serving in afghanistan
75:43
who weren’t alive when the u.s
75:45
government first invaded afghanistan
75:47
we’re a few years away uh nate from a
75:50
situation where
75:52
there are going to be people serving in
75:53
afghanistan whose grandparents
75:56
served in afghanistan that may have
75:58
already happened at this point i was
76:00
trying to do the math in my head
76:01
i’m not sure i’m sure at least certainly
76:03
there were often people that served as
76:04
maybe higher officers who now have
76:06
grandkids that are serving but we’re
76:07
gonna have a situation where people who
76:09
served as kids
76:10
uh or as you know young people in their
76:12
20s in afghanistan a few years from now
76:14
they’re going to have
76:15
their first generation of grandkids that
76:17
are fighting in this
76:18
and as far as i can tell and you can
76:20
correct me if i’m wrong we haven’t
76:21
really seen any indication
76:23
certainly not from the biden
76:24
administration that that’s going to end
76:26
anytime soon
76:28
right matter of fact uh it seems
76:34
well that they they already moved troops
76:36
into syria
76:37
with with without much time in office
76:40
which was
76:41
a bad move that we we felt that was a
76:43
very bad move it’s the wrong direction
76:44
to take us in
76:45
uh the other thing that that a lot of
76:47
people are failing
76:49
or forgetting to remember is that
76:51
afghanistan has a younger brother
76:54
the war in afghanistan has a younger
76:55
brother the war in iraq
76:57
that one just hit its 18th birthday so
77:00
we have the
77:00
the two longest uh wars in american
77:03
history where we still have troops
77:05
serving in both of those conflicts yep
77:09
yeah that’s it is it is mind-boggling
77:11
and you know i’ve had people tell me
77:12
well this isn’t as bad as vietnam
77:14
because vietnam had
77:16
a longer or had had a higher um
77:20
fatality number of of american soldiers
77:22
that were killed
77:23
to which i say okay i i don’t think the
77:26
people living there would say that it’s
77:28
better than vietnam was
77:30
and also you know it’s like vietnam it
77:33
was based on a lie
77:34
uh the gulf of tonkin uh was the was the
77:37
the um the the pretext for uh
77:40
for the invasion of um of vietnam
77:44
and we now know from the pentagon papers
77:46
that a lot of that was fabricated or
77:49
way grossly over over exaggerated and uh
77:52
and now you know with the with the
77:54
afghanistan papers
77:55
we had our own gulf of tonkin when it
77:57
came to afghanistan and certainly with
77:59
iraq
78:00
with the the you know the yellow cake
78:02
and the you know the wmd’s
78:04
and all of that stuff i’m curious if and
78:06
so we
78:07
we put the links uh both the text eew to
78:10
46262 and also the link
78:13
that people can click to uh write their
78:15
members of congress to urge them to end
78:16
the war in afghanistan we put that in
78:18
the
78:18
in the comments and uh justiko mitchell
78:20
one of our our
78:21
fans said that he just signed them all
78:24
and it was just so easy so folks if you
78:26
want a way that’s
78:27
you know uh you know an easy way to let
78:29
everyone uh
78:30
in in government know how you feel about
78:32
ending these wars
78:33
uh these are two incredible ways to do
78:35
it um jimmy
78:37
lee just said he just came back from
78:39
signing it took less than 30 seconds so
78:41
this is a uh
78:42
an incredibly quick and easy way to let
78:44
people know so be sure to do that
78:46
i’m curious nate does uh
78:49
cva have a uh an official position or do
78:53
you
78:53
yourself have a position on what is
78:56
happening
78:57
in in yemen and the u.s government’s
78:58
involvement in that
79:01
um i i don’t know that we have an
79:04
official
79:05
an official stance on that yet and i’m
79:08
gonna
79:08
i’m gonna take the um i’m gonna i’m
79:11
gonna
79:12
respectfully bow out of that one okay no
79:15
and that’s fine and i assume
79:17
yeah i assumed that that might be the
79:19
case because
79:20
there aren’t veteran u.s active duty or
79:22
veterans involved directly in it
79:24
it’s something that’s being sponsored
79:26
and and carried out by others but i was
79:27
just curious if you had one so
79:29
what what is the you know obviously we
79:32
let
79:33
our our um you know we have to let our
79:36
our congressmen and and president biden
79:38
know about this what are some of the
79:40
other things that you know
79:41
how can how else can people help
79:43
concerned veterans for america
79:45
to get the message out and to be a part
79:47
of your efforts uh on behalf of veterans
79:49
and on behalf of a more sane
79:51
foreign policy right so the first thing
79:54
is
79:54
what we just talked about uh signing our
79:57
i volunteer petitions
79:58
a lot of people forget that politicians
80:01
once they’re elected they’re not just
80:03
fire and forget missiles they have to be
80:04
told what to do and how to legislate or
80:06
they’re not going to legislate and
80:08
govern the way that we expect them to
80:10
so first and foremost we have to tell
80:13
them
80:13
what we expect of them this is a great
80:16
way to do it on
80:17
on these issues like foreign policy and
80:19
and va healthcare reform
80:21
um another thing that you can do is go
80:24
to our website find out which states
80:26
have chapters in them like new mexico
80:28
and if you’re here get a hold of me i’ll
80:30
i’ll give you my phone number my
80:32
my email address is in banks cb4a.org
80:36
you can email me and i’ll get back to
80:38
you we’ll meet up for coffee
80:40
um reach out to your your local offices
80:42
and
80:43
ask what you can do to get get involved
80:46
we do we do uh organized phone banks
80:50
we’ll
80:50
we do neighborhood canvassing campaigns
80:52
we we do issue advocacy
80:54
more than anything such as the foreign
80:57
policy
80:59
that’s fantastic that’s great matt and i
81:01
both put your uh email address in the
81:03
comments
81:04
at the exact same time you have no
81:07
excuse not to know uh nate’s email
81:09
because it’s there
81:11
in very fast session one after the other
81:13
one one of us spelled it wrong
81:16
i don’t know which one of us no
81:19
yours just has a capital n well one of
81:22
us has an a and one of us has a nine
81:24
oh god everyone ignore the one with a
81:27
nine let me put that in
81:28
again yeah
81:32
only i don’t click on the one switch
81:34
because we were literally
81:35
less than a second apart there we go
81:37
okay
81:39
ignore the first one and and pay
81:41
attention to the to the last two ones
81:43
folks
81:44
um but that’s n banks n b a n
81:47
k s at c v for the number four
81:50
a dot org um so
81:53
nate before we let you go just anything
81:55
else that you didn’t get a chance to say
81:56
well i want to make sure that
81:58
uh cva is getting and you are getting
82:00
the the chance to talk to our audience
82:02
about whatever you want to talk about
82:03
when it comes to what you guys are doing
82:04
and
82:05
uh in case we in case we forgot any
82:06
questions to ask you
82:08
well first matt asked me what brought me
82:10
to cva and honestly it was awesome swag
82:13
matter of fact i’ve got the same shirt
82:15
that he’s wearing
82:18
i just missed out on that joke earlier
82:20
honestly honestly
82:22
just get involved people like to like to
82:24
play monday morning quarterback on the
82:26
on social media and complain about
82:28
what’s going wrong but very few people
82:30
like to
82:31
get off the couch and get involved so my
82:33
challenge to everybody
82:34
is get up make a phone call knock on a
82:37
door
82:38
tell the politicians how you want them
82:39
to to act
82:42
yeah um i gotta say like i actually went
82:45
to
82:45
uh i think it was two separate events
82:47
with cva here in tampa
82:49
and both of the times that i went um
82:52
great crowds a lot of fun to be around
82:55
um
82:56
everybody that i met that was involved
82:57
in the organization uh were good people
83:00
they were a lot of fun to be
83:01
they were they were a lot of fun to be
83:03
around i had some good discussions with
83:05
them um i ended up until i started
83:07
drinking and then who knows i
83:09
can’t tell you um but uh
83:14
but you’re right the swag i’ve had this
83:16
shirt since i think 2013 and it is still
83:19
one of my favorite shirts
83:21
it’s one of mine too yeah it’s matt’s
83:24
bragging about the fact
83:25
matt’s bragging about the fact that he
83:27
hasn’t gained any weight for eight years
83:28
um so also i have lost
83:32
50 pounds and gained 40 of it back in
83:34
that time frame
83:36
wow fantastic we’re very proud of you um
83:38
thank you so folks uh be sure to share
83:40
this right now
83:41
and in the comments or caption of when
83:44
you’re sharing it
83:45
uh put the link to cv for for for the
83:48
concerned veterans website it’s cv for
83:50
the number four
83:52
a dot org uh and let people know to
83:55
watch this and see what conv concerned
83:56
veterans of america is doing
83:58
and uh and to go to that website link to
84:00
see how they can help
84:01
uh maybe even put in the uh the texting
84:04
uh eew to four
84:06
six two six two and um nate
84:09
thanks so much again for coming on we
84:10
really appreciate your time
84:12
absolutely thank you check us out on
84:14

84:31

84:32

84:34
everyone at afp everyone i see yeah
84:38

84:40
safe everyone with av
84:42
sure everyone and every branch of
84:44
americans for prosperity know that matt
84:45
wright is very sorry for the first
84:47
roughly 20 years of his existence
84:50
fantastic will do
84:52
all right thank you man have a great
84:54
night thank you appreciate it
84:56
well folks for anybody we did it this
84:59
was me
85:00
at that event who’s that
85:04
that is me and ayla brown at that event
85:07
if you
85:07
notice my face uh
85:10
the rosy cheeks and the uh the the
85:13
the alcohol swell in the cheeks
85:19
that’s pretty incredible man that was
85:20
legitimately like i just pulled that up
85:22
that is legitimately like
85:26
a week and a half before i quit drinking
85:29
was it after looking at that photo no
85:32
no i i made a bet with somebody
85:37
um see now i’m trying to think like who
85:39
can i invite to the show
85:41
that would know me back when i would get
85:44
high
85:46
allegedly oh yeah sorry allegedly
85:51
no one gets high in south carolina we
85:53
don’t have a statute of limitations
85:54
um
85:59
it’s my mom
86:03
like
86:07
i don’t i don’t know
86:11
so folks join us next week for our
86:13
special guest
86:14
my mom
86:15
[Laughter]
86:17
man people are gonna expect that and
86:19
yeah no we’re not gonna have my mom hey
86:21
if you donate
86:22
six thousand dollars uh between now and
86:24
tuesday we will have my mom on and
86:26
she’ll hit me with the salmon hot dog
86:32
please people donate six thousand
86:34
dollars please now and next tuesday
86:36
please you can make this happen
86:40
this weekend oh just eco mitchell i got
86:42
high in a boat once me too i also got
86:44
high in a boat
86:45
in international waters once and then
86:48
was very sober by the time i got
86:50
back to america
86:55
this uh this weekend is a it is a big
86:58
muddied waters weekend
87:02
yeah because oh gosh yeah uh it is
87:06
my it is my birthday on friday and
87:09
it is uh tasha and tasha cohen’s spouse
87:14
is anniversary on saturday on saturday
87:20
you know if if i was able to get through
87:22
the entire
87:23
introduction i wasn’t even going to say
87:24
your name i was just going to say
87:26
with me as always tashiko and spice
87:29
spouse
87:30
let me let me pull this up for people
87:32
who aren’t getting the reference
87:33
uh because and if you’re on audio you’re
87:35
not gonna see it but
87:36
um oh well yeah for those of you
87:40
i mean really the video experience is
87:42
better guys you know youtube facebook
87:44
whatever but we also love our
87:46
audio people but i will read it for the
87:48
benefit of the audio people
87:50
uh so that they know what’s happening
87:52
right now where
87:54
is it there it nope
87:57
nope um not yet
88:01
here we go
88:04
is it laser legend’s birthday is on
88:06
friday as well
88:09
are both of my matt’s birthdays on
88:12
friday
88:16
maybe but i mean we’re gonna have to
88:19
wait for the delay for
88:20
to get that answer um so
88:24
i was in uh i was in the libertarian
88:27
party of
88:28
alabama convention this past weekend
88:31
and uh i had a great time john mons and
88:34
i have become
88:35
bookend buddies at this point uh in
88:37
atlanta the weekend before
88:39
i opened the convention and he closed
88:42
the convention with his speech
88:43
then at this one he opened the
88:45
convention and i closed the speech
88:47
but so when i got there everyone
88:49
excitedly showed me
88:50
the program there and it says uh at the
88:54
top it’s got the speakers john
88:56
mons right there john mons and it gives
88:59
his little uh
89:00
his little um his bio there and
89:03
then it’s got me tasha cohen’s spouse
89:10
this was on the program that they gave
89:11
to the
89:14
couple hundred people that showed up to
89:15
the
89:17
tasha cohen’s spouse it says as the 2012
89:20
and at no point does it say my name
89:22
so as the 2020 libertarian party vice
89:24
presidential candidate
89:25
tasha cohen’s spouse has caught the
89:27
attention of people of all ages with his
89:29
grounded and approachable style
89:30
a successful entrepreneur her spouse
89:33
built and sold the web design business
89:34
and moved on to political activism and
89:36
became a podcast host on muddy waters
89:38
media
89:39
tasha’s spouse has become a regular
89:40
guest on kennedy blah blah i don’t
89:42
can’t see what the rest of it says this
89:44
is how people do me
89:47
this is how i’m done by the people um
89:49
but this weekend
89:52
this is how things are done to me
89:54
despite cohen

90:21
carpet i’m actually going to be speaking
90:22
at the
90:23
at their founders dinner i will be
90:26
talking about
90:27
the joy of being my wife spout i don’t
90:29
know what i’m
90:32
what i’m gonna say i don’t know what’s
90:34
gonna happen but
90:36
i mean it’s our anniversary so it would
90:37
be apropos um but before that
90:40
uh tomorrow uh wednesday the
90:43
14th gosh 24th wednesday the 24th
90:47
my guest tomorrow is scott horton
90:51
with antiwar.com and the libertarian
90:53
institute
90:54

90:57
libertarian foreign policy
90:59
world of libertarian foreign policy and
91:02
uh he’s going to be on we’re going to be
91:04
talking about foreign policy we’re going
91:05
to be talking about the situation
91:07
in china we’re going to be talking about
91:08
the genocide in yemen
91:10
we’re going to be talking about a lot of
91:12
stuff as much stuff as he’ll let me talk
91:14
to him about we will be live tomorrow at
91:16
8 pm eastern
91:18
uh and then something special is
91:20
happening on thursday is that right matt
91:22
no oh
91:25
that’s next thursday next dirt
91:29
so everyone so next
91:33
so then this weekend i’ll be in oklahoma
91:36
go first something special is happening
91:38
get ready
91:38
april 1st next thursday something
91:42
special is happening
91:43
what you’re not gonna believe what
91:45
you’re gonna have to
91:47
tune in to find out tune in to find out
91:49
what’s happening
91:50
next thursday so i again i’ll be in
91:54
oklahoma
91:55
uh and uh so if you’re anywhere near uh
91:57
it’s actually
91:58
in moore oklahoma which is like a suburb
92:01
just south of
92:02
oklahoma city but if you’re anywhere
92:03
near the okc area
92:05
come on out to the libertarian party of
92:07
oklahoma’s 2021 convention and come see
92:10
me
92:10
spike cohen uh and go to for more
92:13
information go to
92:14
oklp dot org
92:17
and then come right back here next week
92:20
where
92:21
me spike cohen and matt wright who will
92:23
be one
92:24
entire year older than he is this very
92:26
moment uh we’ll be
92:27
doing our next episode of the muddy
92:29
waters of freedom where matt wright and
92:30
i parse through the week’s events at
92:32
what
92:32
time are we doing that
92:40
wait did we did we decided seven or did
92:43
we decide
92:44
at 8 30 because i know that we
92:47
need to move it yeah so it’s gonna be
92:50
seven yeah
92:54
and i’m going to be in an airport
93:00
yeah yeah i’m being in an airport
93:03
we found a nice quiet part of the
93:04
charlotte and for anyone who knows the
93:06
airport we’re going to be and this can
93:07
make you really laugh we’re going to be
93:08
in the charlotte airport
93:10
which is like the busiest airport ever
93:13
and
93:13
but but i did find what should promise
93:17
to be a quiet concourse
93:19
right around the a b connector where oh
93:22
yeah that’s going to be real quiet there
93:24
hundreds of people there well i mean i
93:26
can talk normally
93:27
and uh our good friend uh brian scott
93:30
lambrecht is saying
93:31
you’ll be on the plane
93:35
no uh the plane uh uh we take off at 8
93:39
50. so we’re gonna be wrapping up at 8
93:41
30 so i can jump on
93:43
with group three getting onto the
93:45
airplane because they’ll start boarding
93:46
at 8 20.
93:52
it’s going to be a senior episode of the
93:54
muddy waters of freedom
94:02
oh you thought last week’s episode was a
94:05
[ __ ]
94:06
watch next week but you know what i got
94:10
the audio [ __ ] figured out for next week
94:12
so nice why don’t
94:16
at least when you go out i could just go
94:18
to music
94:19
and completely screw our channel like
94:21
you did that one time
94:23
you can oh gosh like the thing i did
94:25
when i was playing
94:26
music yeah oh man played american pie
94:29
in a gun
94:33
so we’ll do that um everyone enjoyed the
94:36
music until then
94:37
um so yeah next next week i’m gonna be
94:40
and every 10 minutes you’ll hear a
94:42
rousing message from charlotte mayor
94:44
keisha lance bottoms
94:46
and uh i think that’s her name one
94:48
reminder to not pick up any bags or
94:50
accept bags from anybody oh no she’s
94:52
talking about
94:53
stopping the spread of covid19 by
94:56
socially distancing
94:58
at no v live wait who’s keystone’s
95:00
bottom
95:01
are you gonna be in a mask
95:05
i’d have to
95:09
that’s to make the audio even better
95:13
oh keisha lance bottoms is the mayor of
95:15
atlanta that’s why i’ve heard her name a
95:16
lot too because i’m in the atlanta
95:18
airport a lot
95:19
uh so we’ll be hearing some rousing
95:21
speeches from v
95:22
lyles i wonder how long i can go without
95:24
wearing i’m gonna get kicked out of the
95:26
airport for not wearing a mask on the
95:28
show
95:30
well that’ll make it such a better show
95:33
i mean that’s true
95:36
so folks be sure to tune in into that
95:38
next week
95:39
that’ll be fun for everyone 7 p.m to
95:42
whatever the hell my wife comes and
95:43
tells me to stop doing the show
95:45
because we got to get on the plane
95:46
before it takes off
95:49
so we can get home
95:53
yeah oh i’m so excited for this
95:57
i’m excited for you um i guess so
96:01
next week twice next week so
96:04
folks uh have a great weekend come see
96:07
me in oklahoma or see matt
96:08
in the tampa area for his birthday come
96:11
like find him
96:13
or see me in oklahoma for my anniversary
96:15
these are reasons to see people
96:18
and then come right back here next week
96:20
same
96:22
muddied place slightly different muddy
96:24
time it’s gonna be at 7 p.m instead of
96:26
8-ish it’s gonna be a seven
96:30
niche for another rousing episode of the
96:33
muddy waters of freedom
96:34
we’re at right now parts to the week’s
96:35
events like
96:37
a two very scared men one of whom is in
96:41
an airport
96:43
and the other one’s in charge of
96:45
streaming um
96:48
so folks thanks so much for tuning in we
96:50
will see you very soon
96:52
in fact see you tomorrow come see us
96:53
tomorrow on my fellow americans
96:55

96:57
find us online
96:59
oh gosh yeah matt if if
97:02
if someone was trying to find us on the
97:03
internet is that even possible
97:05
you know it would be possible spike oh
97:07
good it would absolutely be possible
97:11
if you’re one of the old school
97:12
listeners who really enjoy the sweet
97:14
sultry
97:15
buttery dulced tones of our voice hi
97:18
hello all you have to do is head over to
97:21
anchor.fm oh my gosh
97:25

97:30
where you can subscribe to our podcast
97:34
and you can also leave us messages that
97:36
we will normally play
97:38
live on the air usually usually we’ll
97:41

97:45
sounds like
97:50
you can also donate money to us
97:53
and we will be really grateful
97:57
if you donate money to us if you left us
98:00
a message
98:00
this week we’ll play it next week but we
98:03
didn’t
98:04
next week this week we have one really
98:07
great question from this week that we
98:08
couldn’t play
98:10
that we will be playing next week we’re
98:12
definitely playing that next week
98:13
that’ll be the first one we play next
98:15
week so we’re really
98:16
looking forward to that yes it will be
98:18
yeah it will be the first one we play
98:20
next week
98:21
but you can definitely donate money to
98:23
us
98:24
and we can get somebody to do all of
98:26
this for us
98:28
please that would be great because
98:31
he’s i want to pay somebody to do this
98:33
he’s
98:34
i want to create a job for somebody i
98:37
want to creepy a job creator and not
98:40
have to do this
98:43
or you can find this in every other
98:45
episode
98:46
at muddywatersmedia.com
98:49
well that is fantastic well folks we
98:52
will see you
98:54

98:57

99:08
us next week next tuesday
99:09
for another rousing episode of the muddy
99:11
waters of freedom
99:12
folks thanks so much again for tuning in
99:14
and where we’re going
99:16
we don’t need roads
99:26
this is america’s day
99:30
this is democracy’s day a day of history
99:34
and hope
99:35
of renewal and resolve today
99:39
we’ve learned again yet hear me clearly
99:42
we’ll write the next great chapter a
99:43
story we learned again
99:45
it might sound something like a song
99:46
that means a lot to me it’s called
99:48
unity these are those beyond our borders
99:51
america has been tested and we’ve come
99:53
out stronger
99:54
i know speaking of unity can sound like
99:55
a fantasy without unity
99:57
there is no peace it comes so far we
100:00
still have hard to go
100:01
this is a great nation we are good
100:03
people restore america requires so much
100:05
more than words we can see each other
100:06
not as adversaries for the papers
100:08
folks this is the time and testing we
100:11
all understand
100:12
the world is watching folks this is a
100:14
time of testing
100:15
love and healing today we’ve learned
100:18
again
100:19
yet hear me clearly we’ll write the next
100:21
great chapter a story we learned again
100:24
might sound something like a song that
100:25
means a lot to me it’s called
100:27
unity at this hour my friends
100:30
democracy has prevailed through
100:33
struggles
100:33
sacrificing setbacks our better angels
100:36
have always prevailed for those that
100:37
might have the idea that i hate joe
100:39
biden
100:40
i do not i love you there is truth and
100:42
there are lies you hear me clearly
100:44
and together we shall write an american
100:46
story a story that might sound something
100:48
like a song that means a lot to me
100:50
it’s called come on man there’s one
100:52
verse
100:53
that stands out and it goes like this
100:57
black white all colors all backgrounds
100:59
by diamonds
101:02
men women gay straight everyone deserves
101:04
a shot
101:27
you
