06:39
gonna be a lot of fun cuz it’s just me
06:41
that’s not very nice to my guests but
06:44
it’s gonna be a very fun episode because
06:47
I had an Apple salute blast this last
06:52
couple weeks this fortnight if you will
06:54
in Tennessee and then in Georgia and I’m
06:57
going to get into all the glorious
06:59
details of what I vermin and the rest of
07:02
team supreme and team muddy waters have
07:05
been up to over the last 11 or 12 days
07:08
now folks this is also an ask me
07:11
anything episode so be sure to comment
07:13
with your question and thoughts and I
07:16
will I me exclusively will tell you if
07:20
you are right or wrong now before I get
07:23
started guys we are continuing due to
07:27
popular demand our merry toothbrush
07:30
campaign this is a something that is we
07:34
set up to help both the vermin’s by 2020
07:36
campaign and the dignity ministry which
07:38
is a local charity in the Myrtle Beach
07:41
area that helps the homeless in our
07:44
local area and the way it works is we
07:46
have these toothbrushes that have been
07:50
signed on the back live vermin supreme
07:52
your future president right here
07:54
and so what we’re doing is we’re gonna
07:56
be giving these out to the homeless but
07:57
we need your help so what we’re gonna do
07:59
is if you make a donation of $10 we will
08:03
put your name next to vermin’s name and
08:07
give it out to the homeless give it out
08:10
to a homeless person as part of a care
08:12
package from dignity ministry and if you
08:17
give $25 or more I will sign next to
08:19
vermin’s name and we will mail the
08:22
toothbrush to you so you have a momento
08:24
of the time that you helped your future
08:26
president and vice president help the
08:28
homeless any of the proceeds all of the
08:30
proceeds that come from this will help
08:33
will be split 50/50 50% for the vermin’s
08:36
by 2020 campaign and 50% for the dignity
08:38
ministry we will talk about that again
08:41
later on but be sure to go to
08:43
in Supremes 2020 calm and press the
08:45
donate button that’s actually the
08:46
picture of the donate button so that’s
08:48
what it looks like and donate either ten
08:51
dollars or twenty five or even more and
08:53
just be sure to note that it is for the
08:56
dignity ministry and if you do or for
08:59
Mary toothbrush and if you donate $25 or
09:02
more be sure to give your mailing
09:04
address actually I think technically you
09:05
have to give your address for FEC
09:07
compliance purposes anyway so they’ll
09:09
have your address and we will mail you
09:11
your toothbrush so before we get started
09:15
this isn’t ask me anything episode and
09:17
because I want to have as many moving
09:19
parts as possible I’m also gonna be
09:21
accepting your phone calls in the middle
09:22
of all this so I’m gonna be running this
09:24
show putting up all these pictures in
09:26
video and also taking phone calls at the
09:28
same time there is absolutely no way
09:30
that I’m gonna regret this so right
09:32
there on the top left eatin one three
09:34
six four four two seven two two be sure
09:36
to call in and I will take your calls
09:40
and answer any questions or thoughts
09:42
that you have I am all about constituent
09:45
outreach as your future vice president
09:47
um let’s see what’s going on here so it
09:51
all started with Tennessee I drove the
09:53
gosh nine and a half hours to get to
09:55
Lebanon Tennessee just outside of
09:57
Nashville the night that I got into
09:59
Tennessee as soon as I got to the hotel
10:00
I did an interview with Pat Forde on the
10:03
coalition talk radio show Pat is also
10:06
the chair of the Libertarian Party of
10:07
Rhode Island we had a great discussion
10:09
about the urgency of ending the
10:11
perpetual war machine and fighting back
10:14
against the growing collectivism that is
10:16
you know kind of taking over the mindset
10:18
of a lot of people around us in fact I’m
10:21
gonna be giving regular appearances
10:22
every week or so on the coalition from
10:24
now on including tonight after this
10:27
episode ends so be sure so once we’re
10:29
done here
10:29
be sure to join me and Pat for word over
10:32
at the coalition talk radio on Facebook
10:34
if you go on Facebook and look up the
10:35
coalition talk radio you’ll find it and
10:37
I will be there live with skyping in for
10:40
Pat or with Pat and that will be a
10:43
regular thing we’ll be doing and yeah
10:46
it’ll be a lot of fun I plan to call in
10:48
around 9:30 Eastern but I had a really
10:52
good time at the following day at the
10:54
Libertarian Party of Tennessee
10:55
convention
10:57
– Josh ECAL and the rest of the he’s the
11:00
chair of the Libertarian Party of
11:02
Tennessee shout out to the entire LP TN
11:04
team they picked an amazing venue they
11:08
did a great job running things things
11:10
were really really good was a really
11:11
great convention I also got to give a
11:13
speech really early on in the convention
11:16
which was awesome because I had no idea
11:18
that I was supposed to give a speech and
11:20
that was great
11:22
I’d actually don’t have one able to get
11:24
the footage from that yet but I gave a
11:27
roughly two or three-minute long speech
11:28
and then I answered a bunch of questions
11:30
I gave what I thought I gave a serious
11:33
speech about policy and and and strategy
11:36
and why I thought Furman was the best
11:38
pick for a president and then I was
11:40
peppered with questions about cheesy
11:41
bread and zombies and explosives and
11:45
nuclear weapons and zombies and baby
11:48
Hitler and some serious questions and I
11:51
think I answered them pretty well
11:52
because I got a standing ovation and it
11:54
was over
11:55
I think they were standing I got
11:58
applauded I got applauded when it was
12:01
over so we’ll call that a standing
12:03
ovation I think that’s fair um going
12:08
through the comments here Jason Lyon mr.
12:10
America who was back on on Mondays said
12:12
will you wear a bell as a Halloween
12:15
costume next year no no I don’t think I
12:18
will
12:19
Aaron said Baltimore Aaron day and Tony
12:22
says Baltimore doesn’t allow non
12:24
registered charities to hand out to the
12:26
homeless am i right that is more than
12:28
likely correct Aaron in fact that’s in
12:29
most cities and states especially metro
12:32
areas where people are not allowed to
12:36
feed the homeless without spending a lot
12:39
of money to get licensing and
12:41
registration to give food to people who
12:45
need food you need a license for that so
12:52
as I’ve said here many times on this
12:53
show when people say without government
12:55
who would feed the poor the answer is we
12:57
would and we wouldn’t have the police
12:59
trying to arrest us for it in fact
13:02
actually organizing something in the
13:04
near future with Brent de Ridder our
13:06
director of grassroots outreach we were
13:09
we will be feeding the four
13:10
in cities where it’s illegal and waiting
13:13
for them to show up and try to arrest us
13:16
for it for feeding the poor in fact
13:18
there have been some stories where
13:19
health officials have actually poured
13:21
bleach on food that they confiscated you
13:26
know just in case it had a toxin in it
13:28
and then after they poured bleach in it
13:30
they throw it in the dumpster where
13:33
hopefully a homeless person doesn’t
13:36
stagger into the dumpster
13:37
late at night looking for food and not
13:40
realizing that it has bleach on it
13:42
because food in the dumpster probably
13:44
usually tastes money and they might be
13:46
intoxicated or mentally ill and not
13:48
fully there to begin with but they’re
13:50
just trying to eat something to survive
13:51
and hopefully they don’t die from the
13:53
beet bleach that the the city or the
13:55
state have have poured on it so yeah
13:58
that’s correct
13:59
so dignity ministry is a registered
14:01
charity so we’re keeping everything on
14:03
the up-and-up and perfectly legal but
14:05
yes if you want to help the poor
14:07
depending on where you live that’s
14:09
probably a criminal offense unless you
14:12
pay thousands of dollars to register
14:14
first it’s not special so yeah so uh I
14:21
got to get my speech it was a lot of fun
14:23
I had a lot of people come up saying
14:25
that I had flipped them into supporters
14:27
which is funny because I mostly talked
14:28
about cheesy bread so that tells you
14:30
people like cheesy bread people like
14:35
cheesy bread that is why I am the
14:37
apparent frontrunner after I gave my
14:41
speech because it was actually the first
14:42
one to talk or to give a speech the
14:45
presidential candidates gave their
14:47
speeches including one of our most
14:49
principled and popular competitors in
14:52
the race and one of my absolute favorite
14:54
people on earth MS Kim ruff amazing
14:58
amazing woman one of my favorite people
15:00
she completely shocked
15:02
utterly shocked all of us with her
15:06
announcement that she and her running
15:08
mate John Phillips jr.
15:09
another dear friend of mine had decided
15:12
to end their campaign right there they
15:15
were just ending it none of us knew that
15:17
and then she shocked us even more with
15:21
this surprise announcement
15:38
having some problems on the microphone
15:40
there
16:04
so it was at this moment that my joke
16:06
candidacy started to become real
16:08
actually it was probably before that but
16:11
this sort of drove at home in front of
16:12
roughly one hundred and some-odd people
16:13
at the Tennessee convention where Kim
16:16
Roth who many would say was the possible
16:20
frontrunner for the for the nomination
16:22
at that point certainly one of the top
16:24
competitors decided to endorse me and it
16:28
was done in a tongue-in-cheek way way
16:30
but it is a serious endorsement she has
16:32
endorsed me in fact I have another video
16:34
later on where she was a little more
16:37
serious about it but yes she has decided
16:39
I should be vice president John Phillips
16:41
jr. her running mate just out of an
16:43
abundance of a full disclosure he is a
16:47
member of the LMC and it would not
16:50
necessarily be the highest level of
16:51
propriety for him to endorse me so he
16:54
has not made any endorsement this is
16:56
Kim’s endorsement not John John has not
16:58
endorsed anyone we are very good friends
17:00
and I hope to have the support but he
17:02
cannot make a formal endorsement but so
17:05
she did make that endorsement so that
17:07
was really fun
17:07
and then at lunch because we went out to
17:10
lunch after that I found out that vermin
17:12
had won the what we’re calling it the
17:16
primary but it’s really more of a
17:18
presidential preference poll or a
17:21
presidential preference primary in New
17:23
Hampshire on the same day he was in New
17:25
Hampshire I was in Tennessee he won the
17:28
he won the the I guess the primary there
17:32
for the Libertarian Party of New
17:33
Hampshire I was not on the ballot
17:36
because the deadline to get on the
17:38
ballot was before I had announced last
17:40
last month in December but John Phillips
17:45
jr. was on the ballot and he won by a
17:47
landslide but he dropped out after that
17:50
and I had the most number of votes after
17:53
that I was in between none of the above
17:56
who was the only other thing on the
17:57
ballot and and it says scattered there
18:01
but it was actually two different names
18:03
that got one each so I guess I won that
18:07
too kind of a little yeah no not really
18:14
okay but anyway so congratulations to
18:17
John
18:17
and I’m sorry you’re not in the race
18:19
anymore I hope to see you again soon
18:22
but anyway so had a big win there for
18:25
team supreme vermin winning the primary
18:27
there and then that night we attended
18:31
the gala but first let me we go through
18:33
the triquetra 3:31 says i like cheesy
18:37
bread well if you like cheesy bread
18:39
triquetra i hope i’m saying that name
18:42
correctly uh you’re gonna like this
18:44
campaign because we give you free cheesy
18:48
bread with the purchase of any federal
18:49
explosives permit that’s a promise to
18:53
you from me as part of my ten point
18:56
verbal agreement for an even better
18:59
America so that night after the
19:04
convention we had the Libertarian Party
19:08
of Tennessee gala or gala or Gala I like
19:13
to say gala where we heard a great
19:15
speech from our very own Liberty Clause
19:17
mr. Tom Arnold the LPs
19:20
elder statesman and philosopher Tom wax
19:23
poetic as he is want to do about our
19:26
principles our fight in our path it was
19:29
very inspiring and I was very very
19:30
grateful to be there to hear it I
19:32
absolutely loved Tom Tom is a frequent
19:34
watcher and follower of the show a great
19:37
friend of freedom and of muddy waters
19:40
absolutely love Tom so we had a great
19:44
time listening to that and the next game
19:46
Kim ruff to give her farewell speech as
19:49
well as a post-mortem of her campaign
19:50
and a synopsis of what we needed to look
19:53
for in a presidential candidate to go
19:55
along with her endorsement of me as vice
19:57
president and then out of nowhere she
20:01
announced me for a surprise speech in
20:04
the middle of her speech that once again
20:06
I had almost no notice for so here’s
20:09
that
20:53
you know and his taxation and endless
20:56
debt and that’s been important but we
21:01
also were dealing mean I’m an
21:02
unprecedented opportunities first let me
21:05
tell you a little bit about much that
21:07
means to run
21:08
I am literally spike
21:11
I am from Nigeria I was I don’t even
21:15
better part of 20 years and share the
21:23
message Liberty self ownership that’s
21:34
one name of the my community co-owner of
21:36
muddy waters media the co-host 21 and
21:40
the most of my fellow Americans and in
21:43
the last two years of doing two weekly
21:46
live for eternity podcast I moved two
21:48
things one how to talk from people live
21:50
right now and to how to spread the
21:54
message of Liberty to Republic that was
21:57
often afraid of freedom
21:59
now the duopoly or either holding the
22:02
Republic rats have really overplayed
22:05
their hands in this cycle they are about
22:07
to present the two most horrific
22:09
candidates in recent memory Donald Trump
22:13
and whichever one Democrat it’s been all
22:16
nature so we know from the last
22:21
elections like that
22:22
we’re around 46 percent of eligible
22:25
voters did not vote if they’re
22:29
non-voting Italian
22:30
none of the above would’ve won in a
22:32
landslide in every single state and a
22:36
minimum of that making 4 percent of
22:37
voters of those who voted Republican or
22:40
Democrat a lot of we’re just only their
22:43
nose and then voting for whichever
22:44
candidate see you know less toxic to
22:48
them so we know we have the chip stack
22:51
against us from the President to the
22:53
Congress to the FEC down to the state
22:56
election boards to the fish numbers that
22:59
presidential debates the mainstream
23:02
media we know that the system is set up
23:06
to shut us out as much as humanly
23:08
possible
23:09
this system is a jump so what we did
23:14
last time on party as Merman Supremes
23:18
money man
23:18
I could ask next have only two questions
23:21
from our quitting phrase quite a bit
23:24
number one what are you doing and number
23:29
two why the hell are so many people
23:32
joining you in doing this well the
23:36
answer to that and the reason why I
23:37
think Furman is the best fit for us is
23:40
very simple we are capturing the posts
23:43
imagination capturing attention and
23:48
presenting them with the libertarian
23:50
message a message of freedom and liberty
23:53
non-aggression and absolvo visit now I
24:02
this content was just at the New England
24:07
College Convention where he was speaking
24:10
alongside other presidential candidates
24:14
he was not only the only kind returning
24:17
budget he was the only third party
24:20
candidate invited but when I was here
24:21
was the democratic values very tired was
24:23
there he was also interviewed yesterday
24:25
on Insider magazine which has a breach
24:28
of 80 million followers now folks all
24:31
the attention in the world is great but
24:33
it’s not enough what is the point of
24:37
going on the violence at Kennedy unlocks
24:40
business if you’re going to go there to
24:42
say that you’re not going in the drug
24:44
war or even to say
24:52
[Applause]
24:56
as like your often that means the party
24:59
look like the gym when Fermi get
25:04
people’s attention he catches their
25:07
imagination with his well-known satire
25:10
and maybe he actually starts spraying
25:12
the libertarian message to them he takes
25:14
that opportunity to give them the most
25:16
empathetic and most powerful message the
25:18
libertarian message you own yourself no
25:22
one has the right to review your life
25:24
your rights for your property and we
25:26
decide and anyone who tries I’m also
25:32
trying to do my part but with on my
25:34
shows and on talking on I’m ready to go
25:39
on the podcast and also by meeting
25:40
people in person at home world we can
25:43
confidentially become a pavement or
25:45
something that was set up by a separate
25:47
album and rent the Ritter he is the vice
25:50
chair of the Libertarian Party North
25:52
Carolina remember his name because
25:55
people were like end up meeting the
25:57
chair of the party absolutely man
26:02
[Applause]
26:03
that maybe is Ranger he came up with
26:06
this idea called a common pavement
26:08
what palpate that is is and we started
26:10
into North Carolina we go into some of
26:13
the poorest and most marginalized
26:16
communities in this country we knocked
26:19
on their doors and we she’ll be getting
26:21
our best the monetary investments and
26:23
unvarnished messer of freedom David was
26:26
there as well
26:27
when we went this was more about the
26:29
root concept this time around we’re
26:30
really sure if it would work we had
26:32
about 15 20 people and we’d um would it
26:35
work people open their doors for us
26:37
would they be the least bit receptive
26:40
their response was overwhelming now in
26:43
really receptive not only did they open
26:45
their doors they were often completing
26:47
our sentence turns out lo and behold we
26:50
didn’t have to tell them that they go
26:52
through this Monument we didn’t have to
26:54
tell them that they would be better off
26:56
if they could be am free they were the
26:58
ones telling us that and it was an
27:00
amazing opportunity she was to be able
27:02
to share that and in that in that first
27:04
time was about 15 volunteers almost
27:07
essentially a proof of concept we signed
27:09
up 30 peoples of Libertarian Party of
27:11
North Carolina
27:14
[Applause]
27:18
these were overwhelmingly for probably
27:22
what jaded 90% black neighborhoods and
27:25
overwhelmingly black neighborhoods these
27:26
were people that were telling us that
27:28
they you with her held their nose who
27:29
voted Democrats when they didn’t vote at
27:31
all and we changed the conversation in
27:33
that neighborhood it was so successful
27:35
that we are going to be doing many more
27:37
the nominee who is going to become a
27:39
regular thing
27:40
starting in the Carolinas and we working
27:43
with and perfectly there and working
27:45
with affiliates and other states to
27:47
spread it around the entire country team
27:50
supreme and I are completely behind this
27:52
and will be doing this again starting to
27:54
Carolina to going throughout the country
27:55
brent was so impressed with our
27:57
commitment agreements that he actually
27:59
has decided to endorse our campaign and
28:01
join team supreme so we will definitely
28:04
be hearing much more about nominating we
28:08
need something to catch their attention
28:09
bottom line we need someone to get
28:11
people’s attention burden supreme does
28:14
that in an absolutely fundamental way he
28:17
is getting the youth and he’s getting
28:19
unaffiliated voters he’s the people that
28:22
are the most lately third party were to
28:25
not vote at all and so this is an
28:27
unprecedented opportunity for us to
28:30
write a back to unknown high levels of
28:35
of both count friends my name is playful
28:37
and vermin supreme is my president and
28:41
here’s a board we will build a coalition
28:44
of the impressed the outraged and
28:48
disinfected acted at disenfranchised and
28:50
we will ride it all the way to the White
28:52
House thank you so much
28:56
[Applause]
29:00
so it was pretty well-received I
29:02
realized as that was going that you
29:05
probably didn’t hear any sound because I
29:07
didn’t have the sound set up correctly
29:08
so I’m gonna go ahead and play the
29:09
really short endorsement clip of Kim
29:12
ruff that we played before that because
29:13
anyone tuning in wouldn’t have heard
29:15
that then so here’s that clip okay I
29:17
have a question you would ask me I’m
29:20
spike Cohen I’m I’m spike Owen a
29:26
longtime fan first-time caller this is
29:28
not working
29:28
Mike’s not working I just had you uh you
29:34
had asked me about cheesy bread and I
29:37
know that you meant to avoid that
29:39
scandal but now that you have stepped
29:41
down what are your thoughts on cheesy
29:48
[Music]
29:54
caller hold one second please
29:58
okay so that was the end of that video
30:00
to five four number thanks for tuning in
30:02
thanks for calling in who is this hey
30:05
spike those drops of Martinez oh hey rim
30:08
so how are you doing hey doing good
30:11
don’t want to take too much of your time
30:13
everyone go ahead and clear the air
30:15
about something in terms of lincoln
30:16
Chafee in the race you know I wrote
30:21
about him back in August I called him
30:23
the gas station sushi of American
30:25
politics and I a thesis recently come
30:27
out comparing him to some of the other
30:30
candidates and you know this is one of
30:33
those things where I try not to talk too
30:36
much about it because as people know I’m
30:38
a Republican I’ve gone on the record
30:39
saying that you know I’m voting for
30:41
Trump in 2020 I really don’t have much
30:43
of a dog in this race right but I have
30:46
kept my promise
30:47
since you know transitioning from you
30:50
know mushy moderate conservatism in 2012
30:53
becoming at least an ideological
30:55
libertarian over the years – at least
30:56
consistently provide a voice to third
30:58
parties okay and that’s one of the
31:01
reasons why I’ve continued covering the
31:03
libertarian nomination process here at
31:06
The Washington Times and elsewhere okay
31:08
I do want to come with a warrant
31:10
on this in 2016 I worked for multiple
31:14
libertarian party candidates one of
31:16
which was Austin Peterson I left in
31:18
February of 2016 to work full time
31:21
honestly council race but I still kind
31:24
of had my ear to the pavement in terms
31:26
of what was going on and at the
31:28
convention that year and ironically well
31:32
a lot of people knew that when Bill weld
31:34
was announced that things were going to
31:36
be changed that things weren’t going to
31:39
basically be you know the normal type of
31:41
libertarian convention you would get
31:43
nobody really understood how corrupt
31:46
things were going to become the fact
31:49
that the Johnson campaign was you know
31:51
buying rooms and bribing people to come
31:53
down be Bill gets people that weren’t
31:55
even libertarians the fact that Bill
31:57
weld was telling people oh I’ll protect
31:59
the Second Amendment and then he was try
32:01
and make backhanded deals of folks I
32:03
mean everyone knew that was happening
32:05
then you had some folks that pretended
32:07
it wasn’t happening and later they said
32:09
oh well this is just politics I do want
32:12
to point out that when my first piece on
32:14
lincoln Chafee several months ago came
32:16
out I was approached by somebody from
32:19
the campaign who basically wanted me to
32:21
go ahead and talk with governor or
32:25
senator or whatever che fee because if I
32:28
just had a moment to talk to him I would
32:30
like him right I want people to
32:32
understand this I’ve I’ve been on
32:34
numerous campaigns Republican
32:37
independent I endorsed the Green Party
32:39
candidate in 2016 as well here’s the
32:42
thing about politicians when they say
32:44
you just need to sit down with me we’ll
32:46
get along that’s the worst thing anybody
32:48
can tell you and this is regardless of
32:51
who your candidate is or not the thing
32:53
about journalism is you do need to go
32:55
out and you need to go ask the
32:57
uncomfortable questions but when you’re
32:58
doing commentary about people that you
33:00
have a very clear read on the thing is
33:02
this especially if they’ve been public
33:04
figures if their track record shows
33:06
they’re bad they’re pretty bad they’re
33:09
on the record about being bad they’re
33:11
pretty bad if they have a history of
33:13
showing that their actions resulted in
33:17
bad things happening they’re pretty bad
33:20
you know so regardless of who people
33:23
want
33:24
to be the nominee regardless of how
33:25
people vote this is just a life lesson
33:28
when the politician says you’ll change
33:30
your mind if you get to know me
33:32
run yep yep Thank You REMS oh I really
33:36
appreciate that and and thank you for
33:38
the heads up guys REMS oh is a great
33:40
author author of stay away from the
33:43
libertarians and also how to be
33:46
successful in how to succeed in politics
33:47
and other forms of devil-worship
33:49
or as I like to call it how to worship
33:51
Satan but no REMS oh that’s that’s
33:55
actually so I’m glad you called him
33:57
because that is the tenor and the tone
33:59
of what I heard from pretty much
34:00
everyone that I spoke with in Tennessee
34:04
and Georgia who was not a paid member of
34:07
Chafee’s campaign we already learned our
34:10
lesson with Johnson and weld we’re
34:12
seeing it coming a thousand miles away
34:14
this one doesn’t even have a at least
34:16
mildly libertarian record like Johnson
34:19
had at least and what we’re hearing is
34:22
oh just take a moment to hear what he
34:23
has to say and depending on who he’s
34:26
speaking to what he has to say is
34:28
crafted entirely for that person he’s
34:31
speaking to so for example I watched him
34:34
in person tell someone straight up that
34:36
of course the Second Amendment covers an
34:39
ar-15 but then when he was asked about a
34:41
machine gun he responded the exact same
34:43
way that he did when kennedy had asked
34:46
him like two or three days prior about
34:48
ar-15s he doesn’t want to take tough
34:51
responses stances on things and he
34:53
certainly don’t want to do it if he
34:55
thinks that the public might hear it um
34:57
that alone tells me that you know he’s
35:00
willing to present himself as a
35:01
libertarian the same way he was willing
35:03
to present himself as a conservative
35:05
Republican and then as a a moderate
35:07
independent and then as a progressive
35:09
Democrat and now as a libertarian
35:11
libertarian but I think it like like
35:14
worms Oh said his track record speaks
35:15
for itself
35:16
it’s it’s to me it’s pretty patently
35:18
obvious that Leo vyas and and it seems
35:21
like from what I spoke with most people
35:23
that was their impression as well
35:26
exactly well spike I’ll let you go
35:29
you’re my friend as always I pray for
35:31
you I hope nothing but safety on your
35:33
travels and everything else and make
35:35
Florida talking to you again in the
35:36
future thank you
35:37
so thank you for calling in please
35:39
anytime I appreciate it sir thank you
35:41
bye the great Renzo Martinez who we talk
35:45
a lot of trash about him on this show
35:47
and on muddy waters but he’s actually a
35:50
really good guy and a brilliant author
35:52
be sure to check out his books including
35:54
the ones about Satan worship they’re
35:57
actually really guy read his books in
35:58
there they’re really good in fact a an
36:00
audio version of how to succeed in
36:04
politics and other forms of devil
36:06
worship
36:06
it’s coming out soon narrated by Johnny
36:09
rocket which should be really good that
36:13
should be really good so be sure to
36:14
check that out when it comes out but
36:16
yeah guys I mean when someone you know
36:19
will say whatever it is you want to hear
36:22
it’s probably not a good indication of
36:24
what they really think
36:25
except for me cuz I’ll give you anything
36:27
anything you want I will probably say
36:29
this many times I’ve said it in both
36:30
campaigns I will promise you anything to
36:33
get your vote and I hope that people
36:36
sense that as the satire it is but I
36:38
totally will I had people ask me for all
36:40
sorts of stuff absolutely you’re gonna
36:41
have that absolutely you can have that
36:44
so so then we had a great time in the
36:48
gala and at the end
36:50
oh by the way I now have a stump speech
36:52
prepared because apparently I should be
36:54
ready to give a speech at a moment’s
36:55
notice I was not aware of that but I
36:57
have one so that now if I’m told that
36:59
spike Cohen has to talk now I can get up
37:01
and give a pretty impressive stump
37:03
speech although I prefer really to do
37:05
the Q&A; stuff III it’s great for me to
37:08
tell you some you know prepackaged
37:09
message that lasts anywhere from 3 to 6
37:11
minutes 3 to 7 minutes whatever but I’d
37:14
much rather hear what your questions are
37:16
and and respond to those and and you
37:19
know be able to tell you where I’m
37:20
coming from on what matters to you
37:21
but anyway so at the end of the gala I
37:25
got to do a red carpet interview with
37:27
Kim Roth and we even did a very
37:29
heartwarming Tyler
37:31
transfer ceremony at the end so be sure
37:34
to check this everybody spike Cohen here
37:37
with my
37:40
you’re an amazing
37:42
miss Kim ruff Kim who are you wearing
37:47
thank you this I purchased from ModCloth
37:50
so you can find that online and this I
37:53
found in a beautiful thrift store many
37:55
years ago and I’ve hung on to it this is
37:57
just gorgeous and worn it twice
37:58
well you look absolutely ravishing thank
38:02
you thank you I don’t get that a lot
38:04
guys if you if you didn’t tune in
38:07
earlier miss ruff actually had a very
38:10
large big announcement earlier today at
38:12
the Libertarian Party of Tennessee
38:14
convention Ken what you tell us about
38:16
that yes earlier today I announced to
38:19
the delegate base hoping that it would
38:21
be broadcast as well so we can ensure
38:22
that everyone heard it that John
38:24
Phillips jr. and I will be stepping down
38:26
from the race and focusing on assisting
38:28
down ballot candidates and that’s very
38:30
powerful and as a vice presidential
38:33
candidate I am very sad to see you go
38:35
you’re a dear dear friend but I’m glad
38:38
that you’re staying in this and helping
38:40
all of us and that you know this is just
38:42
the next phase of it now I do know that
38:44
you have some presidential candidates
38:45
that you tend to favor for different
38:47
reasons tell us about that okay well
38:50
just to be clear I don’t want to endorse
38:52
any presidential candidates because I
38:53
had such a large diverse team and they
38:56
all have different affiliations and
38:57
interest so I don’t want to speak on
38:59
their behalf but having been stumping
39:01
for the past year and a half I’ve had
39:02
the opportunity to really get to know
39:04
several people and it’s been my pleasure
39:06
one of whom I wanted to highlight is
39:08
Stan Berman I think he’s a wonderful guy
39:10
a very dedicated activist and he’s
39:12
hardworking he actually engages an
39:14
outrage as opposed
39:15
which a lot of candidates do vermin
39:18
supreme is a wonderful person as well
39:20
he’s just it’s light and I enjoy his
39:22
schtick I think it’s charming how he
39:25
brings so much levity to something that
39:27
is incredibly painful and is able to
39:29
turn that capture people with the levity
39:31
and then turn that into a discussion
39:32
about why this is a problem we need to
39:34
fight back so I think he’s right
39:37
I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know
39:39
an Armstrong he is an incredibly nice
39:42
man I think that we as activists can
39:45
help him be on point with the message by
39:47
encouraging him and educating him and
39:49
making sure that he stays but he’s got
39:50
great chops and he’s a wonderful guy I
39:54
tried to hate him I tried to hate him
39:56
when I first met him he’s actually an
39:58
incredibly nice man yeah he’s lovely
40:00
I’m Sam Robb as somebody who’s come on
40:02
my radar recently as someone who I also
40:04
think it’s just a really good guy with
40:05
great experience and I think that he’s
40:07
if not in this particular capacity would
40:10
be an excellent candidate in any level
40:12
and then Jake Hornberger I like as well
40:16
I love what he has to say what he’s
40:18
doing in North Carolina is just
40:20
incredibly impressive impressive and
40:23
he’s written so many things really
40:25
driving home the point so we’ve heard a
40:27
lot of good people in the field right
40:29
now yeah no I absolutely agree now
40:31
tonight at the gala or gala I like to
40:34
say gala
40:34
I’m not really sure how to pronounce
40:35
that sighs this shindig shindig the
40:37
hootenanny the hootenanny earlier you
40:39
gave a pretty impressive post-mortem of
40:42
your campaign
40:45
for this presidential campaign give us I
40:48
guess a Reader’s Digest version of what
40:49
you had to say there’s just a couple of
40:51
lessons that we learned in the course of
40:53
doing this one of which is that you can
40:55
absolutely be a radical principled
40:57
messenger the pragmatic aspect comes an
40:59
understanding of government functions
41:00
and what you can reasonably achieve
41:02
another thing that’s incredibly
41:04
important is that when it comes to that
41:06
Overton Window which is often cited by
41:08
libertarians it really shouldn’t apply
41:10
to candidates because candidates are the
41:12
one who are setting the tone activists
41:15
who are getting involved in the party
41:16
members absolutely be 8020 come home and
41:19
we’ll help you with the rest but
41:21
candidates who are going to do our
41:22
speaking shouldn’t do it and then of
41:25
course in that message is the fact that
41:27
when it comes to being libertarian it’s
41:29
life liberty and property and your right
41:31
to self defense sacrifice and
41:33
non-negotiable absolutely now for those
41:37
who don’t know Kim you also made another
41:39
big announcement there was someone that
41:41
you found to be so impressive
41:43
that they stood head and shoulders above
41:47
any other competition tell us about them
41:49
yeah okay so I did endorse one candidate
41:52
and that is spike Cohen for vice
41:54
president he’s running with the Vermont
41:56
Supreme ticket he’s wonderful I’ve had
41:58
the pleasure of meeting him and dealing
42:00
with him and I’m standing right next to
42:02
him right now
42:02
and in fact little known secret the main
42:06
reason why John and I decided to suspend
42:08
our campaign is that once spike entered
42:10
the field we realized neither of us
42:13
were half the man that he is and rather
42:16
than give you two lesser let’s go with
42:19
the one superior and it’s for that
42:20
reason that I would like to give a gift
42:22
to give a gift to me a gift to me that
42:27
would be great for me to receive a gift
42:29
a gift I’m gonna I’m receiving a gift am
42:35
i receiving a gift I’m receiving a gift
42:41
my wonderful indomitable passionate
42:46
[Music]
42:47
director Tyler Smith is your campaign oh
42:50
my goodness
42:52
so right for you this is he gave to me
43:02
in South Carolina thank you so much
43:06
don’t don’t stand on there buddy I will
43:10
I will raise him as my own
43:15
thank you so much it’s good yeah let’s
43:18
big a hug for all of us I think this is
43:21
a very special moment we’re hugging
43:23
right now living right now guys money
43:25
they also like to file a sexual
43:27
harassment claim against like color you
43:29
just touched my shoulder and it made me
43:30
uncomfortable I did the Keanu Reeves
43:32
where I literally touch nothing so I’ll
43:36
see you in court
43:37
guys thanks again for tuning into among
43:39
this red carpet interview
43:45
I won that countersuit by the way I
43:48
never touched her I never touched that
43:50
woman got some questions here to catch
43:53
her triquetra three three one over on
43:55
YouTube asks free waffles yes yes free
43:59
waffles in fact number eight on my
44:02
platform on my verbal agreement for an
44:05
even better America is a Waffle House on
44:08
every corner a Waffle House on every
44:10
corner this is of course a jobs program
44:13
and it also reduces the cost of food by
44:15
increasing competition now some have
44:17
have accused me of leveraging my
44:19
position within the vermin’s bike
44:20
administration and as the head of the
44:25
Libertarian Party Waffle House caucus to
44:28
engage in some sort of cronyism related
44:31
to Waffle House that is a spurious and
44:33
disgusting charge I categorically reject
44:36
it this is entirely about just giving
44:38
you Awful’s clearly Sheen Sweeney says
44:42
will you eat tilapia on camera for me I
44:46
reject tilapia and all other forms of
44:50
racism Stoli the wise says
44:53
vice-presidential AF thank you I try to
44:56
be as effing vice presidential AF I can
45:04
as I can thank you so yeah so before we
45:09
go over did so then we went on to
45:11
Georgia but first let’s talk about Mary
45:13
toothbrush again this is of course the
45:17
campaign between the vermin spike 2020
45:20
campaign and the dignity ministry which
45:22
is a local charity in the Myrtle Beach
45:24
area that helps the homeless we are
45:28
giving away toothbrushes that have been
45:31
signed by vermin supreme to the homeless
45:32
as part of care packages if you give us
45:34
a $10 donation we will sign your name
45:37
next to it and then have them or any
45:40
message you want there next to it and it
45:42
will be given to them as part of a care
45:43
package or if you donate $25 or more we
45:46
will mail you a toothbrush I will sign
45:48
here next determines name and you will
45:50
have something signed by the president
45:52
and vice president of the future as a
45:54
memento for when you helped us help the
45:55
homeless half of all the proceeds will
45:58
go
45:58
to the dignity ministry and the other
46:01
half of the proceeds will go to the
46:03
vermin spike 2020 campaign and of course
46:05
the toothbrushes will as well be sure to
46:07
go to vermin supreme 2020 dot-com and
46:09
press the donate button now of course we
46:14
then went on to Virginia or Virginia to
46:18
Georgia we had a great time there the
46:20
following weekend I intended the
46:22
Libertarian Party of Georgia Convention
46:24
and debate where I got to have a reunion
46:27
with both vermin and with my co-host of
46:34
the muddy waters of freedom my co-owner
46:36
of muddy waters media and my
46:38
heterosexual life partner mr. Matt
46:40
Wright
46:41
so we got to hang out that weekend that
46:43
was a lot of fun shout out to the entire
46:45
Libertarian Party of Georgia team for an
46:48
absolutely terrific job they did a great
46:50
job as well great venue great they did
46:53
the debate well they did the the
46:56
after-party well great job both
46:58
Tennessee and Georgia their state
47:00
parties did an absolutely terrific job
47:03
of running the show it is it should be a
47:06
terrible boring slog of an event just
47:09
because of what it is because of all the
47:11
business that has to be done and they
47:12
were both actually very enjoyable had a
47:14
great time I also got to finally meet my
47:17
really good friend libertarian National
47:20
Committee at-large representative and
47:22
LNC chair candidate mr. Joshua Joshy
47:26
Bear Smith Josh and I had a great time
47:29
that weekend and I even got to do a red
47:32
carpet interview with him everybody
47:34
spike Cohen here with my red carpet
47:36
interview of the amazing and talented
47:39
beautiful mr. Joshua Smith Joshua how
47:41
are you doing I’m doing just fine I am
47:42
ecstatic to be on spikes red carpet well
47:45
I’m excited to have you here
47:46
you look amazing who are you wearing ah
47:48
the shoes are from Ross the suit is from
47:51
Burlington Coat Factory and the shirt
47:53
and tie my sweet tie with roses all over
47:55
it came from Nordstrom Rack this is this
47:59
is quite the unsung Blinn my friend
48:00
thank you you look amazing now you just
48:02
gave a talk about communicating Liberty
48:03
with Peter Raymond Pete Raymond and Max
48:05
Weiss and banks Weiss tell us about that
48:07
we’re really good I think I think that
48:09
we helped people kind of see
48:11
how we can be more effective
48:12
communicators with our message you know
48:14
Pete’s a great guy he’s got a lot of
48:15
people that check out his podcast banks
48:17
got a great podcast I I’m the brick and
48:20
mortar guy go out and I shake hands and
48:22
I get people to join our causes and and
48:23
that’s why I become the number one
48:24
recruiter on the L&C; so very good yeah
48:27
very good so you uh for those who don’t
48:29
know Josh is actually running for chair
48:31
of the libertarian National Committee
48:33
Josh are would you consider yourself a
48:34
sadist or a masochist a little bit of
48:37
both probably most mostly mostly
48:39
masochist I think mostly yeah but a
48:42
little bit of both especially after
48:44
putting myself through this already
48:45
wants in 2018 if anybody remembers it
48:48
got pretty gnarly and ugly and so you
48:49
remember yeah and so uh to do it again I
48:52
guess a lot of people would probably
48:53
call me a fascist maybe crazy crazy is
48:57
probably a good word it’s kind of hot
48:58
it’s kind of hot what is it that you
49:01
would like to accomplish if if you get
49:04
the role of chair I would like to focus
49:06
the party more aggressively at the media
49:08
I think the media doesn’t really do
49:10
enough for us because they know we’re
49:11
coming in to end the greed and
49:12
corruption that they feed off of so I’d
49:15
like to take away more aggressive stance
49:17
with the media I’ve talked about
49:18
building a regional media team I I
49:20
wanted to start doing focused marketing
49:22
like viral marketing campaigns from the
49:24
national party that we can push down the
49:26
state local affiliates so we get front
49:28
of millions of people at one time I
49:30
definitely put a bigger emphasis on
49:31
fundraising and membership recruitment I
49:33
think you know creating this culture
49:36
where we don’t try to act like the tool
49:37
parties is gonna bring more people to
49:40
our causes than trying to model
49:42
ourselves after the Republicans or the
49:44
Democrats all right all right so Josh
49:46
before we let you go any any final words
49:48
for the kids at home yes don’t do drugs
49:51
unless you want to that’s a good one
49:54
well guys thanks again for tuning in
49:55
with me and the beautiful mr. Josh Smith
49:57
on this red carpet interview don’t do
50:01
drugs unless you want to
50:07
did you see Matt there Matt looked
50:10
amazing
50:10
that was so cute with his his cameraman
50:13
abilities that was really great had a
50:15
great time with Josh and Matt a bunch of
50:17
people get to meet Steven Michaela I
50:19
think his name is I think that’s how you
50:20
pronounce it he’s the chair of the
50:22
Florida Libertarian Party had a great
50:24
time with him
50:25
got to mean all sorts of really terrific
50:26
people there and so it was a lot of fun
50:30
after the convention itself on the first
50:32
day was the Georgia debate where vermin
50:36
debated alongside each other candidates
50:39
vermin is there just to the right of the
50:43
lady’s head behind me if you can see
50:46
he’s the one with the long white beard
50:47
because he’s a wizard and he did a great
50:52
job at the debate with a crowd that came
50:54
in largely very skeptical of him he
50:57
combined his trademark satire with some
50:59
great articulation of his libertarian
51:01
principles and his strategy to bring the
51:02
party the greatest electoral showing in
51:05
history and a lot of the crowd were very
51:08
surprised because and this happens a lot
51:10
people are surprised because they just
51:12
know vermin as a guy that wears a Buddha
51:13
on his head and talks about ponies and
51:15
toothbrushes don’t realize he’s also one
51:19
of the smartest people in the room and
51:20
also one of the most articulate and so
51:22
he really knocks people knocks it out of
51:25
the park when people get to see that
51:26
that he’s actually a pretty smart guy
51:28
they were so impressed that he actually
51:30
came in third place in the post debate
51:31
straw poll or beanpole so they did a
51:35
beanpole at the end of the debate people
51:40
from the by the way shout out to Ryan
51:42
the chair of the Libertarian Party of
51:44
Georgia Ryan and his team a great job
51:47
there they gave us beans a lady came up
51:53
to me and put three beans in my hand and
51:56
said now go out there and vote for your
52:00
favorite candidate and I said okay and
52:02
what do I do with these beans and so the
52:05
way they had it was they had nine cups
52:07
because it was nine people that debated
52:08
nine cups with each of the candidates
52:11
name on each of the on each of the nine
52:13
cups and you would put beans in each of
52:17
the cups that you thought who the winner
52:18
was and you could put beans in more than
52:21
what you could put you know one bean in
52:22
one and one in another you could put all
52:24
three in one and vermin came in third in
52:26
that which out of a field of nine with a
52:28
audience that came in the vast majority
52:32
of whom not thinking that vermin even
52:34
should be there and that it was a joke
52:36
that he was being included in that you
52:38
know he needed to go
52:39
the fact that he came in third we were
52:41
very very happy with that we actually
52:42
changed a lot of minds and the following
52:44
day in the in the business portion where
52:46
the delegates were picked we got a lot
52:48
of pro Vermin delegates in there in a
52:50
state that we were you know playing a
52:51
little bit of defense in so we were very
52:53
happy about that so that went very well
52:56
Oh huge shout-out to John Tom and Amanda
53:01
@ 3l productions for their extremely
53:04
professional and high-quality handling
53:07
of the video production for both the
53:09
Tennessee and Georgia events they did a
53:12
terrific job they were very committed to
53:14
bringing a high level of professionalism
53:15
to the Libertarian Party they’re doing a
53:17
great job at it be sure to hire 3l
53:21
productions you can go in fact I’ll have
53:23
them in the show notes but they’re on
53:25
Facebook 3l productions the number three
53:29
on the letter L productions for all of
53:32
your video production needs especially
53:34
conventions big events weddings anything
53:37
like that they can do that kind of stuff
53:39
but they are really committed to helping
53:41
the Libertarian Party look professional
53:44
and they’re doing a great job at it so
53:46
big shout out to 3l later that night on
53:49
Saturday night team supreme had a real
53:51
blast at the Georgia Libertarian Party
53:54
after party and I got to hang out with
53:56
all my friends and supporters there in
53:58
addition I got to meet one of my heroes
54:02
who was also the keynote speaker for the
54:04
convention who gave a really cool speech
54:07
at the convention an absolute legend in
54:10
criminal defense in Georgia the
54:12
magnificent mrs. Katherine Bernhard she
54:16
is a terrific terrific defense attorney
54:18
I even got to do a red carpet interview
54:20
with her so so check this out everybody
54:23
spike Cohen here with my red carpet
54:25
interview of the amazing and talented
54:27
mrs. Katherine Bernard Kathy thank you
54:29
for coming on my show thanks
54:30
nice bike you look amazing who are you
54:32
wearing I’m wearing actually Atlanta
54:35
custom tailors they do all of my suits
54:37
you look she looks ravaging and I say
54:40
that about most of my guests but she
54:42
actually she actually does look me well
54:44
y’all can call Ken Sharma Atlanta custom
54:46
tailors he’s great Ken Sharma Ken sharp
54:49
and Charma know Catherine you for that
54:52
we both like that actually Ken Ken
54:55
Sharma dot-com I think Taylor Atlanta
54:59
custom tailors Ken Sharma my suits in
55:01
the mail on chair now Catherine you were
55:03
the opening keynote for for this
55:06
weekend’s Libertarian Party of Georgia
55:09
convention and tell us a little bit
55:11
about your keynote which by the way I
55:12
loved it
55:13
45 minutes you would think a 45-minute
55:15
speech would be boring it was amazing
55:17
tell us a little bit about well thanks
55:19
it was really an honor to get a chance
55:20
to talk to the libertarians like I said
55:22
in my speech it is great to be in a room
55:24
full of people where no one wants to rob
55:26
you and basically that is never true of
55:28
a political event so it was just
55:30
terrific to get to talk to a bunch of
55:31
folks who are so principled and
55:33
committed and we’re totally willing to
55:35
tolerate that I am actually still
55:37
affiliated with the Republican Party and
55:38
was missing the Attorney General over at
55:41
the DeKalb GOP breakfast this morning
55:43
which you sponsor I did sponsor it that
55:46
was my little way of making sure the
55:48
Attorney General knew I was still
55:49
watching because you actually sued the
55:51
Attorney General is that correct right I
55:54
I assisted one of my friends who was
55:56
challenging the constitutionality of his
55:58
qualifications because in Georgia for a
56:01
long time you were supposed to have
56:02
actually practiced law to be the
56:04
Attorney General I know sounds
56:06
random but so back in 1983 they changed
56:09
that to oh you only have to be an active
56:11
status member of the bar for seven years
56:13
well unfortunately our current Attorney
56:15
General didn’t even have that because he
56:18
had spent all of his time as a campaign
56:19
staffer for our senator up in Washington
56:22
and so not only was he not practicing
56:24
law he wasn’t doing his continuing legal
56:26
education requirements that would have
56:28
gotten any of the rest of us disbarred
56:30
for blowing off but as the court ruled
56:33
because the Supreme Court had not
56:35
disbarred him it was okay and he was
56:38
constitutionally qualified that makes
56:40
perfect sense now for those who don’t
56:41
know Katherine is a defense attorney and
56:43
she’s not just a defense attorney she is
56:46
a defense wizard she has literally I
56:49
mean you had someone who was caught on
56:51
camera selling weed and well I don’t
56:55
want to say any more tell us about tell
56:56
us about some your cases well I think
56:58
you’re talking about Antonio Willis a
57:00
great guy you know had fallen on some
57:01
hard times looking for work and an
57:04
undercover officer decided to engage in
57:06
an expensive racist sting where he
57:09
pretended to be a character from Cheech
57:11
and Chong basically and try to get my
57:14
client to sell him marijuana by making
57:16
him think oh I’ve got a job for you on
57:18
my construction crew
57:20
and the jury was just not having that
57:22
they were like why would you try to
57:23
interrupt this guy into selling you weed
57:25
when he’s just looking for a job and it
57:27
only took them 18 minutes to acquit him
57:29
on two counts of sale of marijuana and
57:32
then you had you’ve had two other big
57:33
cases one where it was another person
57:35
that was selling drugs or selling weed
57:37
and you got him off in the same similar
57:39
fashion and then also a child that was
57:42
using marijuana for seizures and got
57:46
trouble for that so you got them off of
57:48
those two as well right so those are two
57:50
other middle Georgia cases one where my
57:52
client was growing marijuana he needed
57:54
it for his headaches he used it as a
57:55
home remedy and so we were very honest
57:58
with the jury about it it was great one
58:00
of the prosecutors pieces of evidence
58:02
was a picture of his gardening cabinet
58:04
it included fertilizer organic weed
58:07
killer and something else and so you
58:10
know that just didn’t seem like a crime
58:12
to either us or the jury and so that was
58:14
a fantastic acquittal then we had
58:16
another one that the state dismissed
58:18
where a family had been using cannabis
58:20
to treat their son’s seizures and it was
58:22
working and so the state seized him and
58:24
put him in a youth detention home we got
58:27
him back that’s good that’s good that
58:29
you got a Mac and now what happens is
58:31
when drug cases get put in front of her
58:33
as the defense attorney the prosecutors
58:36
just dismissed what they do they keep
58:39
the charger how does that work so it’s
58:41
called a null process where they you
58:42
know stop prosecuting the case basically
58:45
and I don’t want to jinx it because you
58:47
know at any point one of the cases I
58:48
have now they could say all right we’re
58:50
headed to trial but it has been a
58:52
distinct pattern since those jury
58:54
nullification cases that have gotten so
58:56
much attention that you know they’ve
58:58
dismissed cases with the jury waiting
58:59
outside the courtroom
59:01
so clearly if you need a defense
59:03
attorney this is the one to go to right
59:07
and you know I do represent people on
59:09
all kinds of charges but I have a
59:11
special place in my heart for folks who
59:13
are accused of crimes who have not
59:15
actually done anything wrong even if
59:17
everything the state says is true so
59:19
we’re gonna check out my law firm
59:20
website it’s justice dot law and thank
59:23
you again so much thank you for
59:25
everything you do like I said before you
59:27
are doing an amazing thing for people
59:29
that are suffering under the state in
59:30
its current configuration and instead of
59:33
talking about theories of how to stop
59:35
that you’re actually stopping it from
59:36
happening in real time so thank you so
59:38
much Catherine before I let you go
59:40
is there anything else you’d like to
59:40
tell our our lovely folks at home well
59:43
just remember that when you serve on a
59:45
jury your role is to serve as the judge
59:47
of the law and the facts we’ve actually
59:49
got that right in the Georgia
59:50
Constitution some other states do as
59:52
well but that goes all the way back to
59:55
you know early anglo-saxon legal
59:56
precedent
59:57
so as the juror you are the most
59:58
powerful person in the courtroom and
60:00
don’t let any judge or prosecutor let
60:02
you forget that and what was your your
60:05
website again is justice dot law justice
60:07
dot law Ken Sharma for all of your
60:10
outfit needs and guys thanks again for
60:12
tuning in for this red carpet interview
60:15
isn’t she terrific
60:17
she is just if you need an attorney in
60:21
Georgia and you don’t pick her I don’t
60:27
even know what to tell you
60:28
Hampi aunts asks where is a recording of
60:32
her speech 3el productions recorded all
60:34
of the convention including her keynote
60:36
speech and they’ll be releasing all of
60:38
that soon I presume on the Libertarian
60:41
Party of Georgia page they may also have
60:43
a live version that you know they
60:45
livestream I’m not sure of that but be
60:48
sure to go to a libertarian party of
60:49
Georgia on their Facebook page or even
60:53
on their website LP georgia.com and you
60:57
can find all that out but if it’s not on
61:00
there it should be soon because I do
61:01
know it was recorded and it was great
61:03
was 45 minutes long you would think that
61:05
would be horrific to sit there and
61:07
listen to 45 minutes of an attorney
61:09
talking it was great she is just she is
61:13
fantastic and I must have made a
61:15
good impression because later on Tom
61:18
Arnold auctioned off a signed
61:20
libertarian dad bod calendar and Kathryn
61:24
was the winning bidder I vermin
61:27
Tyler Tom and Josh all signed our
61:30
respective months in the calendar our
61:33
photos personally for her because we
61:36
were the people in attendance that were
61:37
actually part of the calendar um she’s
61:40
really gonna love April I think cuz I’m
61:43
April
61:45
that’s me helping sell the calendar by
61:47
the way I think that really drove it
61:49
home I think that really helped free up
61:55
some wallets there look at that that’s
62:00
your next vice-president guys vice
62:03
presidential EF as long as you said what
62:05
have you said um and of course to cap
62:08
the night off Fuhrman and I made a
62:11
another tick-tock you like
62:23
[Applause]
62:32
that probably already has 50,000 likes
62:40
all of my most famous content is me
62:44
acting that way on tik-tok with vermin
62:47
supreme because vermin is incredibly
62:51
popular on youth geared websites and
62:55
apps he’s actually more popular on tick
62:58
tock than Bernie Sanders he has
62:59
something like over 8 million mentions
63:02
on it and I want to say a half million
63:06
followers so I’m sure that’s now one of
63:12
the most biggest things I’m famous for
63:15
in the world at large is that there’s no
63:22
such thing as bad publicity I’m told
63:24
we’ll see if that’s true so anyway this
63:28
was a terrific fortnight we picked up
63:30
endorsements left and right
63:33
I got a campaign manager Tyler Smith out
63:35
of it absolutely terrific guy won the
63:40
primary scooping up delegates left and
63:44
right and absolutely just fantastic
63:47
couple of weeks for Furman spike 2020
63:50
from Cyprian 2020 calm spike Cohen or no
63:53
spike 2020 calm for my vp page just a
63:58
great time next I’m gonna be going to
64:01
New Hampshire not next week but the week
64:04
after I’ll be in New Hampshire for the
64:06
New Hampshire primary Republican and
64:08
presidential Republican and Democrat
64:10
primary we’re vermin got famous that’s
64:13
where he cut his teeth doing his his
64:15
famous routine kind of trolling the
64:18
Republican and Democrat big-name
64:20
candidates that are there in these small
64:21
towns in New Hampshire and this time
64:23
around I’ll be joining them and so will
64:25
a bunch of ponies that we have we’re
64:29
gonna have pony rides we’re gonna have a
64:31
van it’s gonna be gonna be pretty
64:35
incredible so we’re gonna be doing that
64:36
and then what the following week I’m
64:38
going to be
64:39
in in Florida for the in Orlando for the
64:43
Libertarian Party of Florida convention
64:45
I’ll be there doing my thing there so
64:47
we’ll vermin he’ll be at that too and
64:48
then I’m thinking I’m gonna be and I
64:50
might be an Alabama we may even be live
64:53
streaming their their debate there but
64:55
more on that later
64:57
but yeah we had an absolutely terrific
64:59
time
65:00
Oh before I let everyone go just want to
65:03
let you know that we have well let me go
65:07
through the comments real quick story
65:09
the wise says the world shall fear the
65:12
libertarian lawfare regimen of defense
65:14
Wizards I mean they’re already starting
65:16
to if there were a thousand Katherine
65:17
Bernards the drug war would be over in
65:20
this country if there were ten of them
65:24
in any one state it would be over a part
65:28
of the reason why
65:29
prosecutors have stopped prosecuting
65:31
their cases when Katherine is the
65:34
defense attorney is that they’re scared
65:35
that eventually it’s going to set a case
65:36
precedent and effectively nullify all
65:39
the trig laws in the state huh
65:42
so I I I mean it’s just it she I’m
65:49
telling you like I have a lawyer crush
65:51
on her I don’t even like lawyers and she
65:54
is terrific
65:56
if she were if there were enough of her
65:58
if we could clone Katherine Bernards you
66:00
probably wouldn’t even have to elect
66:01
vermin and I in fact that’s a new
66:04
platform right now I just added that to
66:06
our platform that’s a new plank that’s
66:08
the 11th plank on the verbal agreement
66:11
for an even better America is to clone
66:13
Katherine Barnard many many many times
66:17
effectively ending all abuse of state
66:21
power that’s a promise for me to you
66:25
that will happen in the first hundred
66:27
days of the administration triquetra
66:30
says come to PA actually that might be
66:35
happening the Libertarian Party
66:37
Pennsylvania has invited me to their
66:40
convention and I may be going to that
66:42
I’ll no sooner than later whether
66:44
whether that’s going to happen but I may
66:46
be up in PA I may come to Pennsylvania
66:48
for that so we’ll see um
66:50
slowly says Epstein was work
66:53
on cloning stuff we have to demand
66:54
justice and transparency about the
66:55
Epstein investigation and we will get
66:57
cloning I mean the problem was he was
67:00
like cloning a teenage girls so we’re
67:04
gonna be cloning just Catherine and
67:07
other terrific people but for a
67:09
completely different reason but yeah
67:13
we’ll have to do that and yeah so uh if
67:17
I’m you know if you want me to come to
67:19
your state let me know we’re also doing
67:21
these pound the pavement tours where we
67:22
go into marginalized communities we’re
67:24
starting it in the Carolinas but we’re
67:26
gonna be perfecting it there and you
67:28
know working with affiliates in other
67:29
states you know to spread the message of
67:34
libertarianism to the people that are
67:35
the most acutely harmed and affected by
67:38
the abuses of the state I live a fairly
67:41
comfortable life and so I can
67:43
philosophically say that the state is
67:45
doing harm to me but it many times I
67:48
don’t feel it as much as many others do
67:51
because I have been blessed to have a
67:54
pretty successful and an uncomfortable
67:57
life not so much with a lot of other
68:00
folks who did not grow up in and as
68:03
supportive and favorable conditions as I
68:05
did and as a result are living a much
68:07
worse life to Ray as a direct result of
68:10
abuses against them by the state and so
68:13
we go into those communities and talk
68:15
with them about that so we’re doing that
68:17
all over I was a huge hit I mentioned it
68:20
one of them one of the speeches that I
68:21
showed at that at the gala in Tennessee
68:23
we signed up the 15 of us signed up 30
68:25
people for the Libertarian Party of
68:27
North Carolina and we changed the
68:29
conversation in that neighborhood we
68:30
were walking in like housing projects
68:32
talking with people it was awesome
68:34
triquetra says we got Waffle House is
68:36
ready here in PA let’s do this
68:38
absolutely everywhere I go we did Waffle
68:41
House stops I should have put up
68:42
pictures of that too but we did Waffle
68:43
House caucus meetings at every Inn in
68:47
both states when we were there at the
68:49
Waffle House of course so that was
68:51
really great oh speaking of Waffle House
68:53
before I let everyone go
68:54
frying the show we now have buttons
68:57
people I’m gonna ask about the buttons
69:00
we now have buttons and the way we’re
69:05
doing it is
69:06
we’re going to be raising money with
69:08
these buttons and the with these
69:13
donations all of the proceeds after we
69:15
get reimbursed for the cost of
69:16
production and shipping all the proceeds
69:19
that are left over from that will go
69:21
directly to the Libertarian Party with
69:23
each batch when we sell each batch the
69:26
the resulting proceeds from that will go
69:27
to the Libertarian Party and it will be
69:29
earmarked for their ballot access
69:31
initiatives which will help most of the
69:33
state parties that are having a hard
69:35
time getting on the ballots depending on
69:37
how much we raise we may end up going
69:38
for other initiatives as well but we’re
69:40
gonna start with ballot access because
69:41
that will help a large number of states
69:43
and so the pricing the deferred
69:46
donations for these buttons is two
69:48
dollars for a one and a quarter inch
69:51
button shown there that those are the
69:54
smaller buttons or five dollars for a
69:56
two and a quarter inch button or if you
69:59
want a hundred buttons we can do a
70:01
hundred buttons for a hundred of the
70:03
small for one for a hundred dollars or a
70:05
hundred of the large for 250 dollars if
70:10
you want any other kind of special bulk
70:12
pricing just get in touch with me and
70:14
let me know in the interest of of not
70:17
running afoul of the FEC and of looking
70:20
not looking like I might possibly be
70:22
funneling this into the Vermin campaign
70:23
or anything like that which I absolutely
70:24
am NOT Kim rough actually stepped up and
70:28
offered to be a kind of uninterested
70:31
third party that’s going to collect the
70:33
money and and assist me with processing
70:36
the orders so if you would like to order
70:40
these buttons go to paypal.com Roth or
70:46
make a paypal to Kim dot rough 2016 at
70:51
gmail Camille calm that’s ki m dot R uff
70:56
to zero ones 6 at gmail.com and just
71:02
give your order there and let her know
71:04
what exactly you’re ordering and she’ll
71:06
also need your mailing address this
71:10
offer is limited only to US citizens for
71:14
u.s. federal legal reasons if you want
71:17
to make a donation and and
71:20
you know give it away to someone who’s
71:21
not a citizen that’s that you’re free to
71:22
do that but in terms of the actual
71:24
donations you you it has to be a US
71:28
citizen that’s making the donation so
71:31
yeah so that’s really cool we already
71:32
have a ton of orders we just open the
71:34
orders of this afternoon we already have
71:36
probably already sold out our first
71:38
batch but be sure to get your buttons
71:40
and if you have not already and you are
71:42
on Facebook and are even remotely
71:44
libertarian or remember the party be
71:47
sure to join up on the libertarian party
71:49
Waffle House caucus we are really just a
71:52
fun group of people that likes to talk
71:53
about fun stuff like waffles and donkeys
71:55
and whatever fun thing we can we want to
71:58
be a libertarian group where we don’t
72:00
talk about politics like one safe place
72:02
for just a fun place for libertarians to
72:05
not talk about you know partisan
72:07
politics so that’s what we tried to do
72:10
there but ya had a great time can’t wait
72:13
to see more people out there in all
72:15
these different states if you have a
72:17
request for me or the campaign to come
72:19
out to your state or for a video from
72:22
the campaign or anything like that be
72:23
sure to reach out to me for that and
72:26
again the reason that we are doing this
72:31
if you haven’t already heard this before
72:33
vermin supreme and I believe that we are
72:36
uniquely positioned to spread the
72:39
message of libertarianism to a public
72:41
who is sick of politics 46% of voters do
72:45
not vote and many of the ones who do are
72:47
just voting for whatever option seems
72:49
the least horrific to them but most
72:52
people are sick of the whole thing and
72:54
recognize it as a joke and so we believe
72:56
that we are positioned very well to use
72:59
satire and humor to reach out to people
73:02
and and reach them where they are and
73:04
say yeah we think this is a joke – isn’t
73:06
this ridiculous look how how funny and
73:09
absurd
73:10
everyone is reacting to our candidacy
73:13
even though really they’re doing the
73:14
same thing they’re telling you a bunch
73:15
of Lies and jokes – the difference is
73:17
the punchlines that their lies and jokes
73:19
are endless war and endless taxation and
73:22
endless debt spending and endless caging
73:24
of people for victimless crimes and you
73:26
know endless infringement on your lives
73:28
rights and property our punchline is
73:32
ponies and cheesy bread and badge
73:34
so vote for us and we think that we were
73:36
well positioned for that vermin
73:38
routinely gets invited to stuff that no
73:40
other third party candidate is invited
73:42
to and he has the crowd eating out of
73:44
his or the followers of whoever’s
73:47
watching whatever he’s been invited to
73:49
eating out of the palm of his hand
73:51
because he comes in funny and then
73:53
presents a libertarian principled
73:56
libertarian message and that’s what I’m
73:58
trying to do as well and to that end be
74:00
sure to after this episode is over be
74:03
sure to tune in at say 9:30 to the
74:07

75:15

75:17
going to be incredibly entertaining and
75:19
educational and insightful but it’ll
75:22
definitely be entertaining so be sure to

do that next Wednesday and I will see
