1:23
the house of representatives passed protecting our kids act
1:29
which was passed mainly among party lines minus the five republicans that voted
1:34
for the measures um this bill was a conglomerate of multiple
1:40
gun control legislation all crammed together in one omnibus
1:47
omni blunderbuss legislation um the bill included
1:54
generally prohibits the sale or transfer of certain semi-automatic firearms to individuals who are under
2:01
21 years of age by the way i just want to say something so when they say semi-auto they make it
2:08
sound like some kind of semi-auto is the standard it just means when you pull the trigger a bullet comes out one pole it
2:15
means it’s not bolt action or single load it’s
2:20
a gun it’s not it’s it’s not it’s just automatically like a revolver
2:29
yes a revolver that does not require caulking right would qualify as semi-automatic right because there is a
2:35
semi-automatic process whereby when you pull the trigger it shoots
2:42
right that’s what a semi-auto that is the and in between pulls it’s loading the
2:47
next round into into the chamber so that you can fire again or in the case of uh of a revolver moving the cylinder in so
2:55
that it’ll be the next one to fire uh it establishes new federal criminal offenses for gun trafficking and related
3:03
conduct uh unless you’re the atf that’s very true um and
3:08
this does this also mean like the 21 years of age does this mean that we’re not going to allow people in the
3:14
military until they’re 21 you can’t drink you can’t smoke you can’t own a gun no 17 year olds can sign up continue to
3:21
sign up to uh be trained to go overseas and use multi-million dollar weapon systems to kill people in uh countries
3:28
around the world but they when they come home they can’t defend their own home it establishes a federal statutory
3:34
framework to regulate ghost guns establish establishes a framework to
3:41
regulate the storage of firearms on residential premises at the federal state and tribal levels
3:48
yes the government that has lost and cannot find six nuclear weapons
3:55
thinks that you haven’t been storing your firearm safely and they’re going to go again
4:03
to the native americans and tell them that they aren’t storing their guns
4:08
properly and they’re going to need that’s the problem yeah that’s the issue that’s been the problem yeah that’s the issue that’s the real
4:14
problem the natives have had not not marginalization and disarmament by at a systemic level by government and
4:20
rendering them unable to defend themselves against tyranny no the real problem is that the natives have not
4:26
been storing their weapons correctly that’s why they call all those missing
4:32
weapons nuclear weapons that the government has lost that’s why they call them broken arrows as an
4:38
homage to the natives
4:47
jesus christ it’s the gesture that counts right it’s just it’s the thought that counts
4:52
it’s it subjects bump stocks to regulation under federal firearms law
4:58
uh generally prohibits the import sale manufacturer transfer and possession of large
5:05
capacity uh ammunition feeding devices you know like the 300 which by the way
5:10
300 round magazines that biden likes to talk about yeah they’re what they’re calling
5:16
again they’re they’re coming up with scary terms for the standard so what they’re calling high capacity is
5:22
standard capacity it’s just standard capacity wait so yes not that government should have any business telling you
5:29
what the capacity of your magazine should be but what they’re calling high capacity
5:35
isn’t even high capacity to begin with right and what they’re what they’re doing poorly is like biden is going out
5:41
there and he’s going nobody nobody needs a nobody needs a weapon that can fire
5:46
300 rounds but you don’t need to have that and to give the image that there is a 300
5:54
round magazine somewhere out there that a serious person would purchase
5:59
yeah i mean you can get one sure but it’s not exactly going to give
6:04
you a tactical advantage it’s going to jam a lot
6:10
um and it would jam a lot and it’d be heavier than the gun itself a lot
6:16
it’d be kind of cool looking i know hold up the just yes oh especially if it’s a pistol
6:23
yeah just of course if it’s a pistol you could just use it as like a trice like a
6:31
not a tripod but the one that’s on a table
6:38
and requires the department department of justice to report on the demographic data of persons who are
6:44
determined to be ineligible to purchase a firearm based on a background check
6:49
performed by the national institute or national instant crime background check
6:54
system that is race-based pre-crime
7:01
they are they don’t need the demographic data if this is about protecting us from
7:07
dangerous individuals their demographics wouldn’t matter
7:13
right that racist is the foot in the door
7:18
for future actions of just straight up saying
7:24
we’re going to enforce more heavily in certain areas and those certain areas
7:31
are going to be poor people uh racial and ethnic minorities
7:37
veterans immigrants you know the dangerous ones right that that is what
7:42
the uh gun confiscation and racial profiling
7:48
they would not need that they wouldn’t want or need that if that wasn’t the next step but of course joe biden has a
7:53
long and sordid history of introducing race-based legislation that
7:59
disproportionately harms those who are marginalized to be fair that tracks perfectly to be fair so do
8:04
the democrats yes they have a 200-year history of that
8:11
yes but with the 50 50 uh split that is currently in the senate
8:16
with november looming um and the severity of these bills
8:22
uh as far as taking away people’s rights or you know creating a race-based pre-drug
8:30
that’s scary that’s scary that’s the scariest part of all that uh it probably won’t reach the 60 votes
8:36
necessary to defeat the filibuster so what this is what these nine bills are
8:41
for the 223 people yeah 223 people who voted for it
8:46
to pander to their voters and say hey we tried to do something but the
8:52
senate the senate just wouldn’t you know sorry the darn senate and
8:59
that that is what those are however
9:04
a bipartisan group of 20 senators led by
9:09
senators chris murphy democrat from connecticut and mitt romney nope sorry
9:16
get them confused john cornyn republican from texas same guy um same guy just not mormon uh
9:24
on the same guy texas mitt romney texas yeah texas mitt romney um
9:31
god i wish i had like name of i wish i knew names of cattle and i would just give him a nickname
9:37
that sounds like mitt and just call him that forever
9:42
i’m gonna have to ask my here you work on this i’m gonna go try to find that while you’re talking go ahead uh
9:48
have agreed to a a common sense proposal to curb gun violence and whenever they say common
9:54
sense what they are saying is um that you’re an idiot if you don’t think that we need gun control they’re saying
10:02
that you cannot be of the common sense they are literally insulting your intelligence whenever you say whenever
10:09
they say that this is common sense gun um 10 republicans have signed on to this
10:15
bipartisan framework which means any legislation based on his principles has a good chance of mustering the 60 votes
10:22
and overcoming the filibuster in the senate the senators who signed
10:29
the statement included the four who led the negotiations chris murphy john cornyn
10:35
tom tillis and kristen cinema kirsten kirsten cinema i always get that
10:40
one right kirsten kirsten cinema the others are richard blumenthal roy blunt cory booker richard burr
10:48
bill cassidy susan collins chris coons spike’s favorite senator lindsey graham
10:55
martin heinrich mark kelly angus king joe manchin the acting president of the
11:01
united states joe manchin rob portman uh mitt romney debbie stabenow and pat
11:08
toomey now you may go hmm that was a lot of republicans yes it
11:15
was ten as we said um but there this is actually as far as those ten
11:20
republicans go this is not a bad political move for them it’s a terrible move for you know
11:27
us but it’s a bad political yeah it’s a it’s not a bad political move for them
11:32
uh because the odds of them seeing any kind of blowback for this is
11:38
on the low side uh four of the ten are retiring this year
11:45
another five are not up for re-election until 26 and the other one is mitt romney
11:51
who is a mormon who does whatever he wants right who’s a mormon running for re-election in utah
11:58
in utah and he’ll get it uh by the way uh update uh you can go
12:03
with either holstein romney for john cornyn holstein romney
12:08
or black angus romney those are both terrible those are both terrible i was really hoping there was a cattle
12:14
breed that rhymed with mitt yeah me too this is the six who are retiring
12:21
are rely the six who aren’t retiring are relying on short memories they’re like okay
12:26
we don’t have to worry about this for another four years when this comes back up when this comes around uh we can talk
12:32
about how we were strong on gun control and who is going to remember because the democrats aren’t going to bring it up
12:37
whoever i run against isn’t going to bring it up and they’re right
12:44
the four who are retiring or proving what we already know and they’ll say whatever it takes to get them elected
12:51
and then on their way out they’ll do whatever they will to make them favorable in the eyes of the media for the rest of their lives or if you’re
12:57
mitt romney you do that as soon as you lose the presidency and then you just become hated by 60 of the
13:04
country yes which has worked well for him because he can get re-elected he can in utah get
13:10
elected for anything he wants to and uh and is routinely heralded by both republicans and democrats mitt romney is
13:17
basically the personification of the two-party system yes and how it will fail you yes
13:23
wednesday never forget lindsay obamacare was lindsey graham is another example mitt
13:30
romney created obamacare what ended up becoming obamacare
13:35
then he ran against it while defending what he did which was the model for
13:41
obamacare romneycare in in mission massachusetts massachusetts
13:46
i don’t know why which was it was literally it was literally two people arguing in favor of the same
13:54
system branded differently yep welcome to the two-party system stop
14:00
voting for it uh so here is a breakdown
14:05
this plan is not official but here’s the framework that we have so far um
14:11
there is going to be uh support for state crisis intervention aka red flag laws aka being swatted by
14:18
your neighbor uh um but in 2021 the supreme court ruled
14:24
in coniglia versus storm that caretaking duties do not create a stand-alone
14:29
doctrine that justifies warrantless searches and seizures in the home but the federal government will fund these programs
14:35
even though they’re unconstitutional they’ve been ruled unconstitutionally that again the federal government
14:41
is passing a law wherein the federal government will rob you to fund
14:48
programs that the federal government ruled are illegal
14:54
what and what it appears that they’re going to be doing is they’re going to because they can’t have a federal red
14:59
flag law uh right department what they’re going to do is they’re going to give money to the states in order for
15:06
them to have red flag laws this will make states do it because um the
15:13
states will take money they want money they want money so they’ll do it and uh yep you will see more red flag
15:20
laws happening uh and i i’m going to preface this with i do not support red flag laws in any way
15:26
shape or form but i would be much more okay with this if
15:32
there was a tom cotton approved mandatory minimum fi
15:37
a mandatory minimum sentence on somebody who puts in a fake
15:43
red flag law and since there’s not going to be one of those i have a great idea if this passes
15:51
we should all regularly report every politician
15:57
every government agent every retired politician every candidate
16:02
every police officer every uh corporate media talking head every billionaire
16:09
crony every uh gun grabbing uh gun grabber advocacy celebrity that you can
16:15
name and don’t file a false report cite the actual threats of violence that they
16:21
have all undertaken and just flood their system
16:27
with a bunch of of of actionable threats that they won’t do a damn thing about
16:33
just fl it’s like a ddos attack a denial of service attack flood them with so much stuff
16:40
that they won’t do anything about that they’re not able to do anything let’s just destroy this system and by
16:47
the way this has been done before uh new zealand and one other country tried introducing some kind of uh program
16:54
where you could report people for having guns and so memers went on the internet or report and they and they even
16:59
encouraged you to submit pictures and so people were submitting all sorts of pictures of all sorts of stuff and it eventually shut the program down they
17:06
don’t do it anymore we can kill this you can kill this by making it entirely
17:11
unenforceable by just slocking it up with a bunch of crap that they can’t actually no it’s not even crap real
17:18
credible threats that they won’t do anything about let’s make government impotent that’s a great idea um
17:24
right i got nothing to know that’s a great idea uh investment in children and family mental health services which this
17:30
means more money is going to be sent to bureaucratic agencies that will end up with more people having dcs in their
17:37
lives and they’re going to come in they’re going to talk to your kids the kids are going to say yeah daddy’s got a gun then
17:42
they’re going to take the kids that is what’s going to happen here you’re going to hear about this happening
17:48
after this passes and it’s going to kidnapping of children i think it’s own firearms it’s
17:54
going to happen because the the the federally approved uh therapist is going
18:01
to come in and say does daddy have any firearms or does mommy have any firearms we’re libertarians i’m not gonna i’d
18:08
know who’s got we all have firearms so does daddy or mommy have it
18:13
not going to gender those in this group uh no no it’s like everyone everyone does
18:19
every single person you know have five right and the child will be like i don’t want to get them in
18:25
trouble so yes they do and they’ll go okay well no if this child lives in a house with firearms we need to take the
18:32
child and now that child is a ward of the state and it’s going to live a much worse life than it would because
18:38
it won’t have anybody to protect it where they will statistically be more likely to commit violence
18:44
oddly enough with illegal guns that they purchase anyway because these don’t do anything
18:50
to stop people from getting possibly with the guns that they took from you um
18:55
yes it has protection the circle of life
19:00
the protections for uh it has protections for victims of domestic violence uh and this closes the
19:06
so-called boyfriend loophole which we talked about on the show a little while ago yeah um and that means there are
19:13
rules on the book that if somebody is in a marriage if somebody is married and uh the husband is hurting the wife
19:21
and the husband is hurting the wife and there is a case of domestic violence against the husband he cannot purchase a
19:27
weapon this closes that loophole and uh
19:33
says if it’s a boyfriend you no longer will have to be married but it will also end up making it harder
19:40
for the victim to protect themselves if they’re under the age of 21 if right
19:46
if everybody gets their way and again
19:52
if someone has already decided i’m going to commit murder
19:58
they’re not sitting there going but you know what i cannot risk violating my state’s gun laws
20:04
this won’t even be can’t do it right i could get in trouble i could get fined i could do jail time murder i’m cool with
20:10
murder they might execute me or put me in jail for the rest of my life but gotta wait to do this murder
20:16
until this waiting period’s up i’m gonna have to wait until this this
20:21
background check passes before i commit these these murders this
20:27
background check that i currently that i currently have a domestic violence charge on yeah no i’m gonna i’m
20:35
gonna go through the legal part if you’re gonna commit murder go through the legal process that’ll work well uh
20:40
it has funding for school-based mental health and supportive services
20:46
this goes back to the one we were talking about earlier uh this will end up with dcs taking a lot of children
20:52
that’s what that’s going to happen uh funding for confiscation of children funding for school safety resources that
20:58
is all the information i was able to find on this so no word is this means
21:03
school resource officer safety resources whatever you call them in your state uh or more security measures like cameras
21:09
metal detectors um or doors that automatically lock when you close them
21:15
in other words yeah likely you’re either going to end up with instead of 20 officers standing outside
21:21
doing nothing like a bunch of cowards and threatening horrified parents you’ll have as many as 40 or 50 officers
21:28
outside doing that because they have no responsibility
21:33
to save you yes as as uh affirmed by the supreme court
21:38
on multiple locations that whole protect and serve thing they have absolutely they should put an asterisk at the end of it because they have absolutely zero
21:45
legal or ethical obligation to protect or serve you that’s not their job it’s not their pro this one i have no clue
21:51
what they’re talking about clarification of definition of federally licensed firearms dealer now
21:58
i have no clue what they are looking for if that is related so i know the atf was
22:05
considering a rule change or had done a rule change that was greatly
22:11
widening the definition of a licensed firearms dealer uh or as a firearms
22:16
dealer requiring them to get licensing um i assume this is
22:23
legislation that would do that which just basically uh makes it more expensive and harder to legally produce
22:30
weapons yeah and so one i will assume that’s what that is but we don’t know yeah that’s what i would assume too i
22:35
also know that uh one of the things that has been proposed and i’m not like and i’m gonna be honest i don’t know if it’s
22:40
in this or if it’s in the uh protect our kids act um where they were saying
22:46
in order they wanted to make it a law that in order to take apart a gun uh disassemble a gun
22:53
reassemble a gun clean a gun or something else i don’t know what the fourth one is you have to be a dealer
23:00
yeah so you wouldn’t be able to do it at home unless you were a federal you can’t clean your own gun right that’s one of
23:05
the things that was being proposed somewhere i don’t remember which one it was in um
23:10
another thing that is has been agreed upon is telehealth investments which basically this means you can get
23:17
government intrusion into your life through an app on your phone that isn’t facebook
23:22
yep this is stealing your children by phone my phone
23:28
i need to talk to you i’ve been really so upset recently i’m really depressed okay are there any guns in the house yes
23:33
you have children yes okay dcs will be there and you called them yeah we’ll be swattering you thank you for
23:39
swatting yourself um penalties we are very quickly reaching a point where um you know all
23:46
of the advice we give about not talking to police officers we’ll have to give that same advice when it comes to uh
23:53
doctors and mental health professionals yes because they’re being weaponized to be snitches
24:00
doctor i’m not feeling too high okay you have any guns i’m not answering questions am i being detained like that’s that’s where we’re headed folks
24:06
that is 100 like i’ve already reached that point where they ask me questions and i’m like
24:12
i don’t like that question i’m not going to answer it i’m not answering my doctor hates me
24:19
with a passion he hates me he’s like why why won’t you answer that question i’m
24:24
like i don’t know i don’t want to be a statistic don’t want to i don’t want to answer i’m sick
24:30
what are you eating that’s none of your dates none of your damn business i don’t want my insurance rates to go up
24:36
um that’s true penalties for straw purchases or as i’m calling it the kyle
24:42
written house law they are trying to in the ability for someone to buy a gun for someone else
24:50
legally legally legally legally because again as you’re reading this and i know
24:55
if you’re watching or listening to this you probably already understand this but i need you to lovingly beat this into
25:00
the heads of everyone around you when you hear these proposals just add legally to the end because
25:07
this is with the idea of stopping murder murder is
25:12
illegal the people who are doing the murdering don’t care what the law is and there are
25:19
more guns than people in america there are literally more guns in america
25:25
than there are human beings it is impossible to stop bad people from
25:31
getting guns literally all this does is make it harder for people who care
25:37
what the law is to be able to get a gun yeah that’s it anytime somebody’s been like well we
25:43
need to get rid of the gun so people won’t murder i have had 100 well
25:49
it hasn’t worked because they’re so steadfast in their ways but i’ve had 100 success rate with yeah how hard was it
25:57
for you to get weed and i had to change that because it’s legal like almost everywhere now uh to
26:03
cocaine perfect but and here’s the thing
26:08
the fact that it’s legal right now is a perfect example it’s still illegal at the federal level no one cares
26:16
no one cared when it was illegal at the state level people care even less now that it’s illegal now that it’s legal at
26:22
most state levels no one cares most of those states where it’s legal but regulated people the vast majority of
26:29
people are still buying it illegally because it’s way cheaper because the black market provides
26:35
no one cares inflation proof now yes yes now apply it to guns apply it to
26:43
the things that for whatever reason people seem to think that the government should be stopping you from being able to get all
26:49
this is going to do is
26:54
keep people who actually follow the law from being able to protect themselves and for the vast majority of people who
27:01
follow the law those aren’t the ones we have to worry about because one of the laws they follow is
27:06
don’t murder people it also has enhanced review process for buyers under 21.
27:12
the framework calls for an investigative period to review the juvenile criminal
27:18
and mental health records for gun buyers under 21 years of age this would include
27:24
checks with state databases and local law enforcement now they’re not doing that for uh people who are trying to
27:30
enter the military not doing it in fact people who get in trouble a lot as
27:36
teenagers at some point and
27:41
i’m pretty certain it’s empirical and not anecdotal when kids get in trouble a lot at some point
27:46
somebody looks at them and says okay i’m going to give you the option i’m going to send you to jail or you can go join
27:52
the military and they’re like 17 million and they go to the military they don’t have good juvenile criminal records they
27:58
probably don’t have good mental health records and yet they’re sending them to the military
28:03
but somebody here because of that because again because in order to protect them they’re sending them to the military
28:10
because they’re frightening right
28:15
also like i know five people who valdy shooter oh yeah no that’s very common yeah i was
28:21
when when i allegedly used to get in trouble they would say that and i’m like
28:26
no i don’t want to kill anyone uh so the oval shooter had this been in place the enhanced
28:32
review process would have passed it yep would have passed it he would have
28:39
passed it he didn’t have any kind of juvenile criminal or mental health record that we know of that’s because
28:44
and that’s because nobody reported any of the stuff that he did the police were like oh yeah we’d heard about him but we
28:49
didn’t do anything because you know it wasn’t on paper it wasn’t on paper it wasn’t on paper and it’s like well this
28:55
is all it’s all a bunch of crap and if they banned it out right he’d
29:00
just get it illegally because again murder’s illegal folks
29:05
we need common sense murder what we really need is common sense murder control do you know what common sense
29:11
murder control is peaceful people that are armed yes
29:16
that’s common sense murder control that’s a tweet i’m gonna tweet that right now
29:23
well we hope you guys enjoyed this the latest episode of the muddy voice yeah let’s finish the episode before i
29:29
